Tranny swap

OK, so I'm completely new to the forum world, and the eclipse world, but heres the deal:

My friend is selling her 97 eclipse spyder, and offered me a good price, my only problem is its an auto. I can deal for the time being, but id like to look into swapping for a manual.

does anybody know any info on work involved, costs, places to get it done if i don't do it myself? i figure ill get the tranny from a junk yard, cuz I'm trying to keep prices as low as possible.

any help is appreciated, and i thank you for your time

find a complete donor car for the swap cause there will always be that one little bolt. check out dsmtuners.com and search "tranny swap"
its not that hard to do its time consuming, the hardest thing could be mounting the clutch pedal. dsmtuners is really a good place to do alot of research for DSM's
