Gst worth it?
I currently own a 3G gt auto with 173000 on it. I've been looking to get a different car and recently found this Gst on Craigslist. What do you guys think?

If you're going to get rid of your high mileage 3G for a new car, I wouldn't get a high mileage 2G. A turbo with that many miles has a lot of wear. If I were you I would get something newer than the 3G instead of older.

It looks pretty clean but it's not worth that price. Having just sold my 2g all I can say is that they will nikckle and dime you to death. Once you start fixing em it never stops. If you have the time and the money and the patience than it might be worth it. But i wanted something more reliable which is why I bought my 3g.
What would your plans be for the car? |

I bought my 112k tsi awd with a turbo back, lowered, and gauges for 4k from a buddy who wanted 5k. Blue book was 4300 stock and it had a couple grand of work with the other stuff installed. I sold it for 4800 after i put a rebuilt trans into and considered myself lucky. Not many dsms get what theyre worth when they sell. The people who buy dsms are used to going fast for cheap so they'll lowball the hell out of you. But they are indeed very fun and can be good cars but not as a daily imo. Have a backup car or a daily and make it your weekend car.
