If the output shaft could have been pushed away from the input shaft under severe load, the gear teeth would not mesh as deep. This would give a longer lever force to tear a tooth off. i took the transmission gear set to a professional, and he said the output shaft bearing had seized, and this in turn scored my output shaft which is why 2nd gear blew up because it wasn't meshing right.


dammit, i should have changed the output shaft bearing when i did the input shaft bearing!! my fault


oh well, the 1k mile tranny will be here tommorrow. should be able throw the quaife in there and do some more tests i definately want to make videos
