I think the tech is talking about and updated rom from mitsu to take care of drivability issues, we flash cars all the time at Hyundai with updated roms to take care of such issues, usually their is a tsb.

i had my car sitting without a battery for 2 weeks. main harness to firewall was disconnected for 2 weeks as well.
