Tach Gauge

My friend has a RPM/Tachometer Gauge he doesnt have space for anymore, I have an extra slot in mine.

Glowshift Elite 10 RPM/Tach Gauge.

My question is will using this concept work As the RPM signal?

HELP RPM Signal Under The hood

I've heard elsewhere that RPM gauges wont work, I just want to clarify.

Long story short;

The angle I find the steering wheel leaned to that is most comfortable to me, and my height.

Due to those, If I want to see my RPM (around the 2k+ area) I kind of have to look under the steering wheel. While I don't look at it 24/7, It just bothers me when I do go to look at it.

Hard to explain, I guess I just get bothered by the little things. I have an empty gauge slot and it'll be for free so I figured why not.

What do you mean you have an open gauge slot? Is this a slot for a 52 or 60MM gauage or an open 5" slot?

How tall are you?

If you can't see your tach, then you can't see your speedometer correct?

He's getting an aftermarket speedometer to fill in his other "empty slot"

I can't bare to have my seat leaned back. So you guys are hugely mistaken on that.

Empty slot on the 3 gauge slot pillar from glowshift.
52mm gauge.

So again, I'm asking if its possible?
Not if its practical in your opinion.

Soo instead of looking at the dash with the road in front of you in case something happens you would rather look away at a different location for a car that redlines at 6k? And yes it will work.

He's not leaning back. He has his steering wheel tilted down. You don't need to see the tach in this car anyway, it bogs down under 2k, howls above 3k-4k and redlines/ stalls at 6k....

Short answer: Yes. Other members here have done it. We're still trying to figure out why.

By the way...if you just want to do it to fill your "hole" and you don't like staring at an empty spot, then just say that. Don't go making up some bullshit about your height, seat and steering wheel positions.

Finally, someone got it.

I'm fully aware of that. But for the maybe 30seconds total I do look @ it in a day, its a bothersome, again its for free.

Thanks for those that answered.

About speedometer. I can see it, up to a point. That point cuts off at (pure memory guess, I'm in class atm) around mid 60's. if I can't see it, I'm speeding no?

So how in the hell is this any different from the tachometer? Here, I'll edit accordingly....

it is not NEAR as important, when you are drifting the hillz with your m4d sk1llz. and pussies follow the speed limit, real men just keep the car at almost redline. that is why he needs 2 tachs.
