What did I do with my 3G today?

I had it put on a flat bed and sent to the junker
Cost of repairs exceeded its worth. Probably won't be buying another 3G but staying on the site

was it making noise before clutch swap? i had a spec stage 3 before it was noisy but ran great and only made a scratching noise while easing clutch.

as for an update, got my header welded yesterday for free from a buddy of mine. this thing must have been leaking a while. after adjusting tps so it didn't read wrong (closed loop was all jacked up) this thing has some serious torque lol. i thought it had plenty of power before, now it's perfect.

It was a little.. cuz the whole works was going out. and I saw the kit on andysautosports page so i calld an got a s3...Dude told me as long as the FW was ok I should be fine useing the stock one...but it's like the car is rejecting it....some peeps told me now that the tranny is getting 100% of the torque and power the tranny cant handle it....Still sceatchin my head. Had a g1 celica GT and had the same set up ...did it myself and had no probs....so IDK ???

which bulbs are you using?

granted, i'm using custom led boards, but i only had to put a single load resistor per side, and it fixed my hyperflash..

otherwise, i backed into a neighbors car/they backed into me at the same time.. blew apart one of my custom $200 reverse lights, dented the trunk, and scratched everything(didn't make it past the clear, so it'll buff right out!)...

more projects then time!

when 'bright' reverse lights don't cut it

exterior led upgrades--75% (led tails, turns, third brake, plate light, reverse light)
interior led upgrades--10% (gauges and hvac next, dome light completed)
whats next? ford raptor(for the lightbar!!)..

got the signals working fine. would have had the 4 banger done except for ace hardware's weak ass bolts. as soon as the damn bolt started to tighten up it fucking strips the threads off. this is why mitsu bolts are better and in this case actually cheaper

Well, today I came home from work and washed it. Then I raised the rear end about 1/3 inch, and finally installed my GT side skirts.

Installed the new Pioneer AVH-8400BH headunit to replace the one that was stolen.

Re-ran the iPod wiring under center console. Took apart the HVAC controls to replace a blown bulb.

Took out all of the rear seating to paint the center upholstery. Took out all of the rear plastic trim to install the new 6x9" speakers. Finished up the CF wrap on the shifter and added the clear enamel coat, install is tomorrow.

Installed black seatbelts to replace the tan.

Have the front speakers - those will wait until I have the door panels redone.

Have fun lol. Hardest part is pretty much disconnecting the clutch and putting the drive belt back on.

trac cable? you mean tactrix? do the m2 headers have the same y pipe as the old gen megans? (rear bank has a straight pipe, new gen and most good headers use a curved pipe in the back to help make it equal length greatly reducing rasp)

Ah, yeah did forget about that. Sorry.

Today, all I did was move the iPod cable back to the cup holder area. Planning on fabricating a cradle in the main cubbyhole (where the second 12V outlet lives) for the iPod. I also did a little more prep-work on the door panels and cleaned the interior a bit.

Last week I put in new Pioneer 6x9's:

Wrapped the shifter plate in CF (I plan on doing this again, as I didn't have a properly sharp knife this time):

And installed the new headunit:

I got superglue on the HVAC cluster when messing with it - and using acetone ate the finish, so it's off to the junkyard for another one.

thats a better downpipe. although all cheap headers crack easily and often have small primaries

GRAYSTORM : who are you?
Well today my new MAF adapter came in...

A week late and broken...

So I spent a good hour or so emailing the company trying to return it. Ended up exchanging it and getting a free air filter.

a four cylinder prelude doesn't have two banks. it will have good fitment but will be raspy. but if you like rasp go for it. i posted a link of cheap v6 headers that do have a better downpipe to help you out and so could see the difference i am talking about. if you look at exhaust threads on here you will see that megan/m2/obx all sound raspy because of unequal length secondaries. i have an obx header on the 4 banger and it sounds good for a 4 banger but it has one bank so there are no secondaries to screw up.

good to hear it's all fixed. also, there is a guy on here selling a nice downpipe if you are interested but remember downpipes are made to the headers so fitment with other aftermarket headers won't be 100% but he says it fits stock manifolds so ought ot be close

^^ Nice!

Did some normal R&R - taped up the rear seat to repaint, some little things. Extended the list of stuff I need to get.

Found out my knock sensor was not in its mount. The sensor is good - but it's just sitting on the block. Off comes the plenum again this weekend....

I guess it's all good. It'll give me a chance to mess with some stuff under the intake I've been meaning to.
