What do your favorite thing about your eclipse?
(this is in response to the "biggest beef with your eclipse" which i found very relatable and interesting) what do you like about your eclipse? This might be a small thread lol, but i personally like how the rear seats fold down and create a large trunk space, considering most similar cars dont have this option. Everyone can gripe about something, its harder to find what you like in something!

I like that the more I drive it, the better my grammar gets. In all seriousness, I really enjoy the appearance of the 3G. I always have. |

I have a couple likes/favorites...
1. Steering wheel size/shape 2. Easy to work on (particularly the oil filter location - LOVE that). 3. Regular octane without pinging 4. Door 'strakes' or indentations, whatever you refer to them as... 5. Overall shape/body lines of the car.

Remove the plenum to do pretty much anything to the engine, the oil filter location is nice though ! Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com Free App |

I like the fact that I'm a poor 17 year old, but I can still afford a good looking sporty car, I've always loved that ass

--I've loved the Eclipse ever since I saw the original commercial for it. It's the 1st "sporty" car I've had since like forever; I really liked my '87 Pontiac Grand Am, but it got totalled. Before that, I had an '89 Chrysler Le Baron GTC Turbo that was a real POS.
![]() --The Eclipse has really sexy lines to my eye, and a decent bit of speed, even bone-stock. But the maint costs can really add up.

I like he looks and always have also like most of you. The cost was a big part. Pretty cool for a 14 year old to save up and buy a sports car. Also love the interior and the shifting of the tranny (auto). The wheels on the gts and the leather seats but were a little cold today at -10 degrees. Love the sound of the V6 also. Oh and the front wheel drive is nice for me cause of snow..I live in the country and the gravel roads fill up quick. The timing belt is expensive and I knew that before I bought the car. It has been good except for the starter and an antifreeze drip. I put in Stop Leak and that stuff works miracles..stopped right away. I have put that stuff in before. Anyone use that stuff on here ever?
I love the car..I get compliments everywhere! Very happy with it |

I like sporty cars and eclipse got that. Either stock or with mod its awesome. Decent power.. Can fold the back seat for more trunk space.. Can use that space for better sound quality too.. Subs being on trunk on eclipse is a plus too cause of that folding seat option.

The looks, the ease of maintence, the fuel economy, and the fact that the 5 speed gearbox is a joy to shift through, with a well balanced shift throw.
The sunroof, the seats, the fact that it looks exotic without really being too different than any other car for mechanicals. The handling, the engine itself for the torque it gives out (GS) |
