I'm getting 325-375 per tank from my 5sp GS. (I fill up at 13gal, though). Average is 25 for this month with just driving to/from work.

I get around 320 +/-20 a tank in a GT depending on driving conditions. I usually fill up around 13 something gallons.
Best I remember getting was 400 directly after changing my oil and putting a new filter in. |

how do you guys do that? By the time I've driven lets say 250 - 300 miles, the needle is already below the empty line all the way down. I drive it like that for a while but i dont have the balls to keep driving. When i fill it up, i find out i still have around 2 gallons in there. like 40 miles more. is my needle scewed up or is it like that for everyone?

best I ever did with my 03 GTS 5-speed was 412miles on one full 16.4 gallon tank - all highway driving. my average is about 260-275 on about 3/4 tank between normal highway and city daily driving. I fill the tank up completely and I get about 380 average.

you all must only be saying your highway miles... When I bought it they told me dont expect to get more than 16 or 17 in the city at best. I have the sheet that came with it that says like 17 in good conditions. I use 93 octane all the time though. Dont know if that really matters though.

I got roughly 380 once on a full tank of gas but that was all highway. On the average I get just under 20 in the city and just under 30 on the highway. Not the greatest but not the worst either.

I can do 410 running on fumes but usually around 380-390 to be safe.
City...heh sometimes as bad as 180 (especially if I gotta crawl through a tunnel for 30 min in 1st gear) but mostly around 250.

I have a '00 GT, sportronic. Mostly city driving, alot of stop and go shit. I usually fill up when the low fuel warning light comes on. I dont wait until its completely empty, so I usually end up putting in 13 gallons or so and averaging about 240-260 miles per tankful, so averaging about 18-20 mpg which sucks. Im sure if I waited longer before filling up, I would get more miles per tankful, but its all good. I didnt buy the car for fuel economy, thats for sure!

I just bought my '03 Spyder GTS (still stock for now), and I got 20 mpg with the first tank. Three things that I'm sure brought it down are 1) low tire pressure 2) the dealer put regular (89 octane) in it 3) oil-level was way over...
So, now that I've run the cheap stuff out it, aired up the tires (40 front, 37 rear) and changed the oil, I'm getting much better performance and fuel economy. Course I still drive it like I stole it, so I doubt I'll get in the high 20's... |

I have an 00 fed spec gt and I only get about 19 mpg, of course I do 85 on the highway but I'm only turning 3k rpms at that speed. I can never get past 300 miles without my gas light comin on. My car just hit 60k and I replaced my serpentine belt.(and it was a pain in the ass)
Are the vast majority of you guys getting 25mpg driving 60mph? and what speed are you cruising at when your rpms are at 3k? |

'00 GT with over 105k miles on it, my last tank gave me over 400 miles, so that's pretty good. I drive 75-85 mph on the highway so i'm not exactly driving in the slow lane.

02 GT with 79,000 and I've been averaging 28.5-30 MPG. Last fill-up was 30 exactly. I do 60 on the highway, and 60% of my driving is highway miles.

Wow!!! you guys must really beat on your cars or not have your tires properly inflated or something (I saw a few above that looked over inflated). Worst I've ever gotten is 26mpg and that was when I was down at Normal beating on it or up at Elkhart Lake going around the track. Almost always between 28-30mpg with mixed city and hwy driving. Usually about 70-75 on the hwy.
I drive a 00'GT Fed Spec 5spd. With CAI and Catback but even before those mods I got the same fuel mileage stock. |

That cant be. That would mean your car is getting one of the best MPG of most cars on the road including the Mini.
