I'd say that my 3G clutch feels "looser" or ya, unresponsive when compared to my 96 Corolla or 91 Storm. I figured that it had something to due with it being a V6 as oppossed to my older 4 bangers. Just a guess though...

The V6 clutch is different than a conventional clutch, it's a pull style clutch. Like what is found on the Evo and the Supra, not a conventional push style clutch.

plus hondas feel more responsive because most of them are cable clutches not hydrolic

All the D series from 92+ on civics were all hydro. So unless they did some ghetto stuff it should have been hydro

EDIT: and if you want proof, here you go http://hondaswap.com/reference-mater...n-specs-29132/

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. Also, does anybody else notice how slow it is to shift from first to second? What's the deal with that? I don't know much about transmissions.

The throw out bearing on our clutch snaps into the fingers of the pressure plate and when you press on the clutch pedal the TOB pulls the fingers of the pressure plate. This allows for a longer lever arm in the pressure plate, which lowers the amount force needed to open the clutch.

On most conventional clutches the TOB pushes the fingers of pressure plate in.

Another factor for poor clutch pedal feed back is that we have a dampner on the hydrolic system. I think it can be removed, and I wanted to try it, but I have been busy. The rubber lines could also be swaped out for braided lines, if the right fittings could be found.

Clutch disengagement idea
