Changing the alternator...

Anyone know of any guides on how to change the alternator. I have the manual for the car, but it's kind of basic in it's instructions. Any help is much obliged.

Its a joke. Less than 4 bolts/nuts to remove. From memory (could be slightly off):

1) disconnect the battery
2) disconnect the alt power wires
3) remove the upper alt bracket bolts (2)
4) remove the lower bolt/nut
5) move serp/accs belt to the side and pull alt out

Awesome, I looked at it and it seemed that easy, but I thought I was tricking myself. The manual says to remove the front motor mount, the splash plate, and then pull out everything. Good to know! Now if it would just stop raining and warm up five or so degrees

I was in the same boat when I replaced my alt. I read the FSM and was like WTF when I saw them talking about the motor mount and splash guard. I gave up and ended up talking it by a stereo shop for the install, thinking it was over my head. 10 minutes and $70 later they had replaced the alt. I then realized that the motor mount and junk didn't need to be messed with. The next time I replaced my alt I did it myself in about 10 minutes. It really is that easy!
