I am going to need a new clutch soon.
Has anyone replaced their OEM flywheel with a lightweight version? Any noticable improvement???

Maybe not the same for others but I did definitly notice a driveability difference as far as unstable idle and almost stalling out when all I had was the alum flywheel, headers and CAI. It was a little better after tuning and I also bumped my idle up a little.
on the plus side the lighter flywheel in conjunction with all 4 solid motor mounts and the just recently added stiffy torque dampener make for excellent throttle response and modulation. The best part of my car I think. When you push in the clutch to shift the rpms fall off a lot quicker. You have to shifter a little faster than before to conpensate for this. It takes a while to get used to but once you do it is a lot of fun to drive |

Very rarely do we ever sell a clutch without a flywheel. Chances are you'll need to resurface your flywheel anyways. But while you are in there replacing your clutch, why not treat yourself with extra weight off of your crank?

I figured I had to pay someone to drop the tranny for either piece and at $400-600 in labor charges for EACH time the tranny is removed I figured I'd save so much $$$ by forking out the FW money then (sametime install).

X3.... lol I am swapping in the new motor with the new tranny, and figured with all the trouble of getting shit in and out I probably won't want to do it again for a long time.
