OK well one side is done and passenger side will be done on Monday. All parts are off the car and posted in FS section if intrested. Brakes looks amazing and the wheels cleared them by maybe 1mm YES 1MM....they are not rubbing or anything so I'm guessing its OK to drive. What do you guys think. Car is also lowered with Sportlines right now and rear conversion with AEM BBK and Invidia will be done next week Check out the pictures.

I thought those brakes looked a little close to the wheel. Looks like the car is coming along nice.
p.s. your tire looks a little flat

Because the wheels that he got would touch the brakes... So he needed some spacers to solve that issue.

I drove the car some more and noticed a knock in the left wheel. It wasnt there yesterday so I'm wondering what the hell it might be. The strut is mounted good and all the bolts are tight so I will have to recheck the endlink nuts. Overall car is alot stiffer with sportlines than pro-kit and it handles great.

Although I am rubbing when pulling in the steep driveway with one of my tire (driver side) with those 215's so I hope it wont be worse with mjy 225.

Timing Belt (Water pump, all other belts) is done and next big thing will be installing the RPW Header and getting rid of the cat who needs it anyway. I cant imagine how loud the car will be so I'm hopinf the 24" glasspack will quiet it down a little.

Also Scott Grey's mix will be going in this Friday or Saturday !!!

Check out my Members car section for updated Pictures from Auto-X Events !!!

Last Event...only 1 pic for now

Here is the comparison with the picture from last year with Eibach Pro-Kit and full interior in. Car handles alot better now and sits way stiffer than before. (Last event was also on Toyo All Season)

I already have the St sway bar and front stock one is fine so my option is only getting a roll cage which I might get this summer. You know car still need some body roll, if its to stiff it will handle like crap @ Auto-X and shitty tracks.

The car looks great and that looks like so much fun. In a few years I hope to do auto-x when I am able to buy a daily driver. BTW, do you know if there is a stock class? Meaning like stock intake etc etc?

Yes they are plenty of stok classes and I think 3G falls under H-stock.You can Auto-X your car right now and still have fun in it. You don't necessarily have to beat the shit out of it like I do but take it easy and have fun.

hey dude im really a big fan of ur 3G. if u live in jersey i could have made ur dash out of aluminium for u. also do u need headlights to run auto-X. if not take them out and put masking tape over the empty holes. as for ur doors i would go to a glass shop and get sum lexan windows especially for that back hatch. way to much weight. anywayz keep up the good work and dont let thoses miatas kill u out there.

I dont need headlights but they dont weight that much so no point of taking them up especially when the Halos are hooked up to corner lights. If I decide to keep the car for good then I will go with CF trunk and lexan for sunroof.

Car is doing a really good job , last even I ran 50.117 (FTD) withonly CAi and Invidia catback with Toyo All season tires which are on the verge of being worn. Hopefully by next Event I will be back on my Azenis and with an RPW header and a nice tune from LogicGate.

Just to give you an example of other cars times:

04 MAZDA RX8 -48.605
05 MAZDA RX8 - 49.457
07 SUBARU STI - 47.338
08 VW R32 - 50.13
04 CHEVROLET CORVETTE - 47.382

Of course at the it comes down to a driver not a car so I think for a 3G with no coilovers and shitty tires I didnt do that bad

Thats my g/f and she looks really funny in that helmet. I always make fun of her. I never drove with someone who showed me how to Auto-X. Stealth3GGT showed me what lines I should take few times during course walk but thats it

Haven't seen those puppies in a while. 3G never really took off like the first and second gen kits did.

Pull the pads you have in there and get me the numbers off the back of them. Depending upon the compound in place there may be some benefits to alternate compounds for the AutoX use that you'd pick up some gains from.
