My 2009 mods w/pics
So here is what I have been doing over the past few months...
![]() ![]() subframe cut to clear the EVO trans with the front section of the trasnfer case since im running it FWD. I made few more small cuts after this pic, pretty much once you put it in from the bottom, you will see small spots where it hits, just drop the subframe and keep cutting. ![]() ![]() its in for a test fit and to make the lower downpipe... ![]() ![]() lower downpipe finished, vbands all over the place, it will be so easy to take the downpipe off for fluid changes and other work. you can see it goes just under the edge of the transfer case and back up into the tunnel.

Its for an EVO made by PeakBoost. Its their HVS manifold and upper downpipe with the BLING polishing option. I am sad that once I heat cycle it, it will turn gold, but its all good.

Sweet fucking deal bro. I plan on eventually doing the whole EVO FWD setup. I might have a few questions for you. Are you getting the FWD transfer case from rip-grip, like posted in SLAVA's thread?
Love the manifold, what are you going to be using for tuning? |

I already have the transfer case installed, you can see the bottom of it in the last pic. I bought a transfer case from TRE with no diff and a bad ring & pinion gear for $125 shipped. I didnt need the diff because I bought an LSD. It doesnt matter that the ring and pinion are bad, because I am not going AWD. I seperated the front section of the transfer case from the center/tail section. There are shims between the two sections, I used this as a template to make a block off plate out of some 16 gauge steel that I bought from home depot for $8. The trans and transfer case were both built by DogBox Racing. The trans received a full street build with treated gears and is shimmed for performance driving. The center diff is welded and a Hollinger Engineering chromoly diff tube was installed. the transfer case received the M10 bolt upgrade, was shimmed for high HP and a WaveTrac LSD was installed. For tuning I am keeping my old setup which is an AEM EMS and an Innovate LC1 wideband setup.

so today me and my boy got a solid 5 or 6 hours in on the car. I finished making the downpipe, finished the wastgate dump tube, finished my hotside intercooler pipe and turbo inlet pipe. installed EVO brembo brakes on all four corners, installed EVO knuckles/hubs up front for use with the converted trans setup. I also hung my HKS Carbon-Ti muffler. This week I gotta get everything tig'd up and hopefully the car will be running next weekend, hopefully.
dont worry...i still have to lower it more up front... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very nice. I would never run my intake pipe like that because I drive in rain and wouldn't want to chance it, but it will bring cooler air.
I love the whole braided radiator lines, very nice. Can you snap a few pics of the tranny/t-case and how it lines up with the subframe? |

Very fucking nice. It's nice to see such a clean setup. I know that cost you a pretty penny especially since you used V-bands and AN fittings everywhere.
![]() This thing will be a beast when you convert it to AWD next year after getting fed up w/ FWD SUCK...
