FX2236 : who are you?
Rockford Fosgate language change

Hello

i recently purchased an eclipse with Japanese Rockford fosgate sound system.
i was wondering if i can change the language to English or at least re-flash it with the English software.

How did you do that? They don't make the Eclipse in or for Japan.

Not his car. His Rockford Fosgate system is in Japanese.
And I'm assuming it's an aftermarket system.

That's correct , the sound system is OEM for the Lancer EX jdm
And all the menus are in Japanese , from the online guide for the English version I was able to understand each menu and its functionality, but its quite annoying so I'm not sure if I can reflash it with the English firmware

I would say no, but I'm no expert. My bet is that you would be ahead to just pick a different HU with similar specs if your pleased with it. I doubt any HU, short of a car pc is user serviceable like that.

well the HU is already integrated with the car , it can display info about the car, ac, lap times, 0-60 and it sound amazing, i have already sent an email to Rockford fosgate's support, they didn't reply yet, and im thinking of going to my locale dealership, maybe i can get an English HU.
