Talking Gain Setting.

I was just cruious to find out how many people set their gains themselves?

Do you ever feel like its never "just right"?

Who set their gains using an o-scope?

There is also a remarkable tool created by Tony D'Amore called the DD1 Distortion Detector.

I personally own a DD1 and I love it. I set the gains for all my friends and the results were very impressive!!

Anyone else use this?

There's a thread on how to set your gain via digital multi-meter within a few minutes. Its quite easy to do actually.

Has anyone tried to compare the DD1 vs the DMM method?

i set my gains myself, but i use jl cl-rlc's for volume control, so while they are set evenly, they are not set 'correctly' per-se...
