No, sorry, I don't. I've been running with this header for over a year now, and I never got a stock dyno run, so I don't know what the numbers were originally before the header (and CAI and exhaust, for that matter).

Sorry.

Well, I went back today to have them check everything out for me to make sure. They plugged into my computer, checked all the settings, made sure everything is working correctly.

My AFR is 13:1 all down the RPM range, until 5400+. In any case, I fixed my stalling issue, and I'm still putting down the same power.

Maybe I have a freak GS.

Just got back from dyno day. I was very pleased.

DynoJet

HP- 170.9
FT.LBS-166.7

I was VERY pleased. All I have is a warm air intake and invidia catback and an automatci spyder. I will have the video of it posted tomorrow and a picture of the dyno sheet. I was only expecting 155-160.

Since you had the GTS I was hoping you would make 175, but you are an auto and a spyder, so that does not help too much. Good numbers.

I don't have a scanner, how about that. I am going to scan it when I go home in 2 weeks for spring break, and yes it was necessary...we have hardly any exhaust clips on this forum and its about damn time it changed. I am sick of getting 5 pm's a day asking me how the exhaust sounds, now everyone can hear it and enjoy it.

yeah, dyno dynamics reads lower, but is also more accurate with HP gains, I personally do before and after dynos on dyno dynamics, while dyno-queens perfer dynojet runs. Your numbers are about right on. On a dyno-jet you'll get higher gains.

fed-spec is arguably the most powerfull 3G, more so then the GTS. FedSpec didn't come with any cats, and has more advanced timing, nobody knows for sure, so that car dynoing higher then you is normal.

This is purely my opinion, but the 00 Fed-Spec was the best 3G produced. Dual piston calipers + wider rotors, more aggresively tune, and no pre-cats.

theres nothing to tune with header/cai... if you had someone else tune it for you where you had it on the dyno... he probably just said he tuned it or maybe changed a thing or two just to make it look like he did something for you.

2001 Spyder GT, 5 speed
Best run of 3 (only a difference of .5 whp between the 3):
172 whp/182 wtq
67 degrees, 65% humidity (had been raining almost all day)

Mods:
AEM CAI
AMSS headers + cat
Invidia catback
S-AFC II
NGK Iridiums
Accel wires
Spec Stage 1 clutch/stock flywheel
17" wheels that probably aren't that light/stock brakes

At the time of the runs my tune was pretty weak and it was only a dyno day, no tuning on the dyno, so the A/F was still below 12:1 for the last 2000 RPMs. I did some more tweaking afterwards and am now running it 13.5:1 in the lower RPM range and 12.9:1 in the higher range. Not sure if I gained a few HP with that or not.

Nice results. There's some developement on the ECUFlash for 2000 3gs come soon. You'll be able to dump the SAFC (use it for monitoring knock) and tune with the Flash. In the interim, reset your ECU from time to time to keep your fuel trims from whacking out.

Thanks man. Yeah, i really cant wait to stop pissing around with these piggyback systems. My car threw a light yesterday because my car is running lean for some reason, and we tried to richen the mixture with the AFC, but the ECU didnt like that too much. How much do those flash's run?

The software is free... the cable costs $89. The gui doesn't work for 2000s yet. Mits went to a different processor in 2001 that is shared with EVO. Read up on it.... ECUFLASH in this forum

My DC race header got me 17whp, Here is some calculations you can use to find out what that would be to the crank:
Losses:
approx. 7-9% on a FWD and 12-15 % on a 4wd

So, divide your whp by .85-.87 to get your approx. crank hp or HP.

over on the .org, there was a guy claiming that he dynoed at 250hp with just intake and exhaust on a GT. but he never posted his dyno sheet.
It may sound funny guys, but I ran against a trans am v8 auto on the highway, I was on 5th gear going about 50mpg when the trans am pulled up and passed my. He signaled and pulled over to the left lane so I sped up to catch up with him. As soon as I did, I down shift to 4th (was bout 65 only, rpm went to 4500) and he floored also, i can tell me the sound of his car, and I kept up with him for about 1/4 mile. I only have a front mt intake in my car with a Daiken Performance clutch, so don't under estimate the power of the V6.

I'll run one without the ECU tune as comparison, plus gona take it to a real dyno to see what the difference is from the ones I posted, non tuned and tuned. Also once I get my Wideband AFR I'll do better, hopefully.

Here is a PrtScn from EvoScan I did this morning with some correction, from a cold run. I'm going to schedule an hour on a DynoJet to finish the tune I have. I'll post the results and the history log of tune using ECUFlash.

The best way to look at this is with a non-tune run for comparison.

With all due respect, this thread is for actual dyno numbers. Don't post the power calculations from the EvoScan. They are just for reference.

Then what does a "real" "actual" dyno does or is? how many variations of dynos are there and why? which dyno is right from the other? we can start a debate of what a real dyno is in a new threat. You can teach us all. I'll post a Dynojet sheet soon.

You are right about various dynometers putting out different numbers (dyno jet vs. dyno pack vs. mustang dyno), but there is a certain realiablity that you will get with those actual dynos. There is already a thread on the difference between dynometers, so you can learn yourself. Some little known facts about Dyno's

The EvoScan power reading is a nice feature. But it can't be taken seriously and there is even a disclaimer in the EvoScan stating as much. The torque readings are way off. The margin of error is just too high.

whoa just saw this thread. first dyno run untuned (only one I could find)
251hp. 2000 GS, AAI Turbo Kit @ 8.5psi (old car)
only ran it twice, 251.0, and 250.9, they only took it to 5500rpm, because it was going lean, and I never got it on the dyno after it was tuned.

has since gotten a new bov, moved MAS, new exhaust, better turning, should be higher... haha new car too, but that's besides the fact
