Dyno Results of RS/GS/GT with diff mods
This thread is mainly intended for Dyno results. Post your dyno results, your list of performance mods only, location and possible the temperature and huimidity at the location. Along with that also post Trim of the car, Type of transmission and if you had done anything to reduce weight or increase weight (stereo, custom interior, etc) If any one has questions about a particular Dyno, please PM the member with the same. No requests for a dyno with particular mods. It is going to be difficult for a multiple people to have the same combination of mods as you want. Also, tuning plays a key role. It is possible that two members with the same mods produce way different results. |

2003 GTS Eclipse
5 Speed Nology Plugs & Wires K&N Cold air intake HKS AFR Ripp Mods Headers (No Cats) 5 Zigen Exhaust Royal Purple Motor Oil 91 Octane w/ Octane boost No internal mods were done to this motor! Dynapack dynamometers was used for this test. Given that this is a racing program we will continue to tune this motor and the combination for max TQ/HP. We are certain we can pull more TQ/HP out of it. The 3.0 V6 put out 231.8 WHP @5869 and 221.3 ft/lbs @ 4303. Thank you,

Mods: Injen CAI Greddy Evo CB XIR headers with no cats ACT Clutch Clutch Masters lightweight flywheel Deyeme firm front and rear mounts SAE Horspower/Torque: 188.2 / 188.4 ft-lbs These were the final numbers after a few runs tuning the SAFC. It was tuned at TPS in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was about 90 degrees that day. |

latest run at 5.8 psi. I need bigger injectors to go more. Engine fully built. Injectors ordered shoudl be in in 2 weeks. Running off 275 cc's now...

We should have a couple more dyno sheets coming in shortly. But for the time being, we have a 3G, he may or may not be on this board (slowgs2001), pushing 308whp and 308wtq at 13psi. Stock internals.
He will be raising his boost soon enough, as he is doing a motor rebuild and wants to break the 400whp mark and push upwards of 20psi. But for now, he is happy blowing out GTO's and Camaro's.

2000 fed spec gt.aem cai and a borla exhaust...179hp. 186tq. I have a buddy with an SRT-4 that dyno's nice but since this is the Eclipse forum, not the Other Cars forum, and this is a thread about Eclipse dyno results, I won't bother boring you with irrelevant details.

I hiot 275 whp and over 300 lbft tq on my last tuning run @ 8psi. Then the head gasket blew. Now back at 5.8 waiting to go back with the emanage.

yes. It was an RPW head gasket- the water jacket disintegrated on the second or third dyno pull @ 12 psi. Now i have a cometic multi layer steel one.

![]() I know it's been a while since someone posted up in here, but I can't help but think looking at these numbers that I think we have proof here of what tuning really does for the power you're putting down. There's people here, like repforenzo, with i/h using ripp headers and the s-afc, only getting 188 whp, and then ones like regulator with i/h/e using xi racing headers and the s-afc getting 216. now, even if it's a difference in the dyno type, something's up there. I don't really believe the claims of the ripp headers which is why I've settled for a used set of amss headers I have on the way (and I paid $275 for them, instead of $1299 and a 3 month wait). anyways, if I can afford to do the whole dyno thing, I'll post up when I get my results. '01 Spyder GT, AEM cold air, AMSS headers, Invidia catback, Accel wires, NGK Iridium IXs, and S-AFC II = 200 whp? maybe? (can I hope?) |

lol, npeifer, I think you accidentally helped me out a lot with a problem I've had - finding a dyno near me. did you actually take your car to back street performance in medina or did they do that somewhere else? medina is about 10-15 miles west of me here. were they good?

They did a good job but it was at Norwalk Raceway and it was a portable dyno. They were really nice and knowledgable however. You may want to give them a call ?
