If youre looking for help, especially with that youre in the wrong section. Youll need to more be specific. Honestly they stopped running superchargers over here years ago, some of the Gt's still do i believe but i havent seen an RS/GS with one for years. I suggest you start your research here:

Its a long read and full of links, many of which you should read more plenty of insight. Im going to be updating it with more crap to read soon as well

the problem isn't how to do, that job is outsourced, but the tuners don't know how to flash my ecu, i read the thread about tactrix and bought the cables and downloaded the program, my problem is how my ecu works, and where i can get a definition file/rom after reading the ecu, for the tuner to start with the software.

Like i said you need to do more research. AT ecu never were unlocked! according to ecuflash developers it never will be. So you being AT will have to run a dual ecu setup. Thats my point. Others in my position knowing this would rather be rude or silent than explain these facts over an over. It would be better if you read the sticky i linked you to because there is insight to be had there vs being spoon fed answers that others took the time to read up on. I wrote that sticky so new people wont have to wait on answers that are already answered. If you must link your mecahanics and tuners to the threads too because yours is one of the more tedious FI projects compared to other 3g setups!!

Well, we got the Fuel Temp code to go away by using an evo rom, but in turn made the car run like shit. It would barely start or idle, especially when cold. Scaling was setup, all maps were copied over from a 3G rom, and I tried doing some tuning, but Just couldn't get it to run the way it should.
So I'm back to an '01 ROM, which starts, idles, and runs fine, doesnt have the P0185 Fuel Temp code, but now it's throwing P0135 O2 Heater Codes...

I replaced the O2 sensor which didnt help. FML

Hey just thought I would add this to this thread in case someone would need it:

Ecu Unlocker was written by Malibu Jack over on the EVO forums. He posts there and on The Aktive Matrix. Now here is the best part, he made a .exe you can download if your ECM is bricked because someone changed the "Init Code". Here is the link: ECU Unlocker <--- I strongly suggest you download this and save! Just in case!
What this .exe does is, it makes EcuFlash init "F0F0". Mitsubishi uses this as a default if you messed up your ECM, for recovery.

How about you give us a bit more details? Like, what state is your current ECM in? Did you flash something stupid into the ECM? Do you currently have the stock ROM in the ECM? What are your goals for the ECU Flash?

sorry i have an o2 eclipse gt. live in florida. i am the first owner of this car so i know nothing was programmed on it. i just want everything set at factory settings. reason being is that i can't seem to find what's wrong with the car having trouble starting at cold starts after sitting without a battery for 2 weeks. i replaced all my sensors and checked all the vacuum lines and still have that problem. a tech at mitsubishi told me he could reflash the ecm or ecu ( one of the two, can't remember which one ) to see if that will fix the problem cuase everything else works and that i could do it myself if i had the program and cable.

i'm trying to learn and do it myself.

If the Rom has never been edited, I'm unsure what flashing it with an identical Rom will help you with. What you need is a tactrix 1.3 cable and ecuflash. Whereabouts in Florida are you located?

^^^ what do you mean by sitting without a battery?

i had my car sitting without a battery for 2 weeks. main harness to firewall was disconnected for 2 weeks as well.

Here's my thoughts on what could be going on here:
what happens when you leave your car without its battery like that is the ECU "resets" itself so it pretty much has to relearn a lot of the things that it obtained from your everyday driving. It will idle funky until it relearns a bunch of the parameters. I believe if you leave the battery disconnected for even 30 minutes, the ECU will reset.

from everything ive read you can flash a 2000 rom.. you have to upgrade to an 01 ecu and flash it.. thats where im stuck cause i cant delete the immobilizer .. ive tried everywhich way..

Alright, so i swapped to a 75. Got it running good, got base tune maps from Tx4Codeman (thanks btw).

But, I try to open my ECU rom, and it appears my definition could be missing, corrupted, or from a previous version of ECUflash...

EDIT:
Issue resolved, someone hooked me up with my def xml.

i got the tactrix openport 2.0 the other day and i was able to modify a 2002 manual transmission stratus rt definition for my 2001 stratus rt stock rom. I want to thank logicgate flashbluers and many other for their input in this forum. Right now i have the following tables and values i can edit by ecuflash;

The question is i do not know what to edit in these variables and tables. Can someone send me stock and remapped rom of 3g eclipse gt please, i appreciate if you can also send me the definition for the roms. I can at least see what values you changed. Ceyhun, you'd be modifying tables such as those of fuel, timing, and fuel enrichment. There's a guide in the performance section of the garage to get you started. I wouldn't recommend diving in and changing values if you are unsure of what you are doing. If you are interested, I've got a base map for sale to get you started. You'll have an idea where to go from there by making minor adjustments to get optimum performance out of your vehicle. Pm me if interested in the file.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead... however...

Does anyone have a copy of the ROM pack that Flash posted? I need the definition file for my 01 RS MT. I am able to read the ECU however since it is not defined i am unable to edit. (Yes im new to the ECUFlash)

This will be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: I do have an EVO 8 ECU, however i do not have an EVO 8 mas.
I have connected the 8 ECU and was able to pull up the data without any issues.

You download the rommetadata.zip file I posted and copy the contents to

The zip file from post 1 i open it with winace and there are no files to put in the rommetadata file. I also see this is an old thread that has been brought back from the dead a few times. if there is a revised rom thread can someone share with me! Thank you!

Hello !

I have 3G Eclipse 2400 manual transmission and want to build a turbo a setup !

On the stock Eclipse ecu will work the Evo rom without problem ? ( with the right maf, injector scaling, fuel and ignition map, immoby off )

The Eclipse stock rom is the 90920009 . Flash over it with the Evo 9653 rom ?

What about the Ecu pin out after the flashing ? Evo pin out will be the right ?

Evo boost control out put will work ?

I would if I had them. I've been running EVO ROM's for quite a while, heck it's been over a year since I hooked up my laptop to my car. If you have a 4 cyl I would definately get an EVO rom, unless you have an automatic. Then you really need the definition. Is the download link not working in the OP?

Steadly I had you in mind to PM since you're friendly and helpful but then I remembered you had a Stratus. I have the 5-speed 4cyl, and I have an Evo ECU for when I do my build this summer, right now I'm just trying to learn how to tune with my stock ECU, but without being able to edit anything I can't get any practice haha. But yeah, the download links no longer work. I tried Chrome, Explorer and Firefox just so I could eliminate my browser as the problem.

I have been providing tuning services to the community for a few years now. My more recent discussion thread here : 3.0L, 3.5L, & 3.8L E-Mail Tunes Available

If a definition file is not available for my customer, I will look into the hex file in attempt to create a definition file. It can be a time consuming process, being why I do it only for the cars I'm tuning, paying customers.

Hey guys,

I am new to the forum here. I have been using ECU Flash for a couple of years to tune Evos and WRXs. I am going to be tuning a turbo eclipse later this week, and was wondering if anyone had a pack of xml files, and stock ROMs that I could obtain somewhere. It appears that when this thread was made in 06 those resources were available, but are no longer hosted anymore.

Can someone help me out with a current "xml pack" and maybe a zipped set of stock ROMs for the Eclipse?

He posts there and on The Aktive Matrix. Now here is the best part, he made a .exe you can download if your ECM is bricked because someone changed the "Init Code". Here is the link: ECU Unlocker <--- I strongly suggest you download this and save! Just in case! What this .exe does is, it makes EcuFlash init "F0F0". Mitsubishi uses this as a default if you messed up your ECM, for recovery. __________________ 03 Eclipse GTS: K&N box filter, Ripp long tube headers, MSD Ignition, Blaster 3 coil, Walbro pump, AEM UEGO, Tactrix 2.0, Ecu Flash, Evoscan, blue Accel wires, NGK copper, 4 x polyurethane motor mounts, black tyc tail lights and full Pioneer stereo system (7 speaker setup).

Got it running good, got base tune maps from Tx4Codeman (thanks btw). But, I try to open my ECU rom, and it appears my definition could be missing, corrupted, or from a previous version of ECUflash... Can someone send me stock and remapped rom of 3g eclipse gt please, i appreciate if you can also send me the definition for the roms. I can at least see what values you changed. My car is completely stock (just a CAI). Thanks in advance....

There's a guide in the performance section of the garage to get you started. I wouldn't recommend diving in and changing values if you are unsure of what you are doing. If you are interested, I've got a base map for sale to get you started. You'll have an idea where to go from there by making minor adjustments to get optimum performance out of your vehicle. Does anyone have a copy of the ROM pack that Flash posted? I need the definition file for my 01 RS MT. I am able to read the ECU however since it is not defined i am unable to edit. (Yes im new to the ECUFlash) This will be greatly appreciated. NOTE: I do have an EVO 8 ECU, however i do not have an EVO 8 mas. I have connected the 8 ECU and was able to pull up the data without any issues. -Rob

On the stock Eclipse ecu will work the Evo rom without problem ? ( with the right maf, injector scaling, fuel and ignition map, immoby off ) The Eclipse stock rom is the 90920009 . Flash over it with the Evo 9653 rom ? What about the Ecu pin out after the flashing ? Evo pin out will be the right ? Evo boost control out put will work ? It appears that when this thread was made in 06 those resources were available, but are no longer hosted anymore. Can someone help me out with a current "xml pack" and maybe a zipped set of stock ROMs for the Eclipse? Thanks in advance!
