Cool Small HOW-TO on power window switch check

PROBLEM SOLVED - SEE SOLUTION AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MESSAGE

Hello Everybody! I wish to solve my problem and to write everything what I would do, I'll make some pictures and would try to explain some wire diagram, because as for me newbie it was hard to understand at first time, but right now better.

So there is problem - Passenger window would work from sub switch, but not work from main.

1. First of all go and look to wire diagram and estimate what it could be.
a) as sub switch work, and window going down and up with it, it means that relay and fuse is ok;
b) The problem could be in main switch, harness's , or simple lost wire connection between door and body (common issue).

2. So let's look on the wire diagram in normal state

normal.state

To figure out what is the problem switch or wires, I'm going check the wire
and expect to see the same result as on diagram ( mean ground on 7,8 ; positive on 6) on main switch

3. When main switch pass. window up such picture of current flow

passenger window UP(m)

What I expect to check - I'll put direct positive from battery to pin#7 and if it is go up, the problem is in switch.

4. When main switch pass. window down such picture of current flow

passenger window Down(m)

The same operation try to apply positive to the pinN8

5. Here is the picture of currents flow when use switch on passenger side

passenger window UP(S)

And down

passenger window Down(S)

So please I need advice also, Is my suggestion are right and is my checking would be right, because it's only in theory. And I hope to have the same situation on practice. I'm wish to learn and to help another people may be with the same situation. Thank you and would very grateful to hear some good advice from you guys !!!

UPTADES AFTER GET CHECK THIS WIRES
***********************

1.Okay, I got checked my switch, and it's look like okay, also I took out the sub switch from passenger side and try to check for continuity the pin#7 and pin#8 for break and get pretty upset, because they are okay.

2. So next step I run voltage drop test. As you know when load is applied the voltage is dropping to zero (ideal case) usual to 0,5 if it's not drops it's means there some shortness.
a) So I checked normal state between pin 6(power) and pin 7(ground), pin(8) ground - if wires okay you should get you 13V
NS - voltage

b) Okay, put switch in down position, and should get voltage drop between 6 and 8 - got 0,5V - it's mean that VD is appearing on motor and should move it down. Back to normal position and you again will get your 13V;

DOWN - voltage

c) Put switch in up position , VD should be between 6 and 7 - got 0,5

UP - voltage

SO FOR MY UPSET I GOT EVIDENCE THAT WIRE AND SWITCH IS WORKING. But nothing more - the passenger window still not moves. It's was okay, but passenger switch moves the window.
So please tell what it could be more, that I should check. I will report with pics and it would be very useful for people with the same issue. Common people I need your suggestions.

NEXT STEP

Going to measure resistance ( ignition on, engine off)

a) between pin7 on main switch and pin8 on sub switch ; between pin8 on main switch and pin5 on sub switch ;
In such test you testing wires for continuity and shortness.
b) Test with battery applied to PIN 6 (Power) and PIN9. Check resistance on output pins

resistance

Also very interest fact - resistance appeared on test with battery - 9V, when I tried to check how the switch working and to be sure that there no shortness on the printed circuit board I got it in position UP for left window, and in position Down for right window. Also in this position test for continuity working and you can hear beeping from multimeter.

Interest that on position down for left window switch, and up for right window switch no continuity, no resistance.

TEST WITH BATTERY 9V - FOR COMPARISON WITH WORKING SWITCH
**************************

Okay, I did such test, simply applied power to pin 6 and ground to pin9 , in different position I got different voltage on output, as on left switch ( driver window that WORK) and on right switch (passenger window) that not work.

test with battery

TEST WITH WIRES ON THE CONNECTORS
**************************

Okay, here some interest question, that I could understand why it's happens. Maybe it's the key for answer on this problem.
Run the test on harnesses on main switch on pin 6(power) and pin7 or 8 - I got voltage about 5V
VOLTAGE on right motor
The same situation appeared on sub switch.

The most interest that I run the same test for left window motor and get usual 0.01V on both pins 1,5. Like without load.
working switch
But anyway, if the voltage the same as on main switch as on sub switch. Why the sub switch doing its job ?

Watch the solution. After 2 days spent on it, to get solution it came to me.

Here is the video

Here is video on Youtube

Hope it would help somebody
