I was thinking more Test Drive Unlimited 2, regardless, it looks like they may be pulling an NFS (producing arcade and sim titles.)

Most people are speculating that Forza Horizon will be more of an arcade (NFS, Midnight Club, etc) type game, I'm just crossing my fingers that they include actual Forumla D drifting tracks in the game since they have a quick little snip-it of Dmac's Saturn Sky in the promo vid.

I'm interested to see their spin on it. I hope they put some realistic handling and modding options into it. |

I'm really hoping they keep handling and all realistic, tuning as is, and really just add more visual mods - in a different setting. |

Forza Rice, not sure how to feel about it quite yet. IIRC this was a joint effort with another company and not solely a Turn 10 production. Could turn out similar to the injustice of New Vegas for the Fallout franchise.

Aside from throwing spinnaz on dah Escalade, son! I admit, I still have NFSU2 for the xbox. Game was really good. Between that and Most Wanted, they are the two best NFS games to date, that j have played. Undercover was decent, though. |

Just thought this would be as good a time as ever to give this thread a BUMP!
The demo is out now, I just finished all of the available races and free roamed all the roads possible. My first impressions as far as the way the cars handle were that they're definitely a bit more "loose" and forgiving. Granted I didn't have the difficulties/assists cranked, but I never play any of the other forza titles completely set to simulation. That being said, at first I wasn't a fan, but I kind of like it. It really is a lot of fun taking the Evo through the dirt roads even on free roam, and I could see this being pretty awesome online (depending on how the game is set up, I'd really like to see some open world roaming multiplayer). I haven't looked up details to see if they allow this, but I'd really enjoy that. I'm pretty much sold on the game, and today I'll be placing a pre-order. Why not, considering I'm getting it anyway so might as well get extra content. It'll be interesting to see how the modification system works, what cars they bring, and especially what the rest of the map has to offer. I can honestly say most of my time in the game will probably be spent free roaming, that was one feature I always used to enjoy in NFS games. I do wish the controls were more like traditional forza, but you can always tinker with the assists and all. Has anyone else given this a shot? |
