OMFG! Its almost out!!!!! The HALO games are like the greatest evar!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! It like an orgasm in a box!!! OMG!!! No game previously have done anything like the action in the HALO games! The gameplay and graphics are off the scale and so original! OMG OMG if you dont have a 360 buy one just for this game! OMG OMG When this game releases the world will experience a brownout because so many people will be playing it at once. OMG OMG if it gets delayed I will have to kill myself.

Just finished playing for the night. The game is amazing. Right now im playing on a old ass tv and i can still tell the graphics are better. I cant wait to hook it up to the 42 inch plasma tommorrow. Best game ive ever played

It's freaking magical. I just finished the 3rd mission and I'm done for the night. The only things I don't like are that Cortana intermittently stops the gameplay to spew some psycho babble every few minutes, and that they brought back the old pistol skin but not the scope for it

. Either way, this game is absolutely fantastic.

Anybody playing Multiplayer yet?
It seems one of our members, Jamie Murray (the 17 y/o Stookie owner), got a copy early thanks to his employment w/ Blockbuster. I was chatting with him via IM a couple days ago, shortly after he beat the campaign. Apparently their servers weren't available (not public?) when he tried entering multiplayer. I'm assuming they're now accessible?

Oh, and I'm very intrigued by the video playback feature!! I could see myself spending many sleepless days toying with that. (I've still got some pretty intricate movies I made from the original PS game 'Driver'

I got my legendary edition yesterday... The fucking thing came completely in spanish!!!! I asked, emailed, and checked before I pre-ordered... those lying bastards pieces of shit sent to Mexico the spanish version only...

However, I bitched to Microsoft and gave them all the ref numbers for the calls I made and emails I sent... long story short: they are sending me a free copy of the regular version, IN ENGLISH.
Oh, and the game is great.

Purchased it Monday... er, Tuesday morning at midnight and played it with 4 other friends till 8am. Took the day off to get some sleep, woke up at noon and proceeded to continue playing it till 8pm. Im a little halo'd out, but I'll probably pick it up again tonight.

Im loving this game so far. It seems like a whole different game than Halo 2 in multiplayer, but I can still own most noobs(not all). Qusestion I have though, are we still able to hear someone who is nearby on out tv? Cuz I played with the volume low, but I usually hear the other team talking but I couldnt with Halo 3.

Microsoft said the problem affects the Halo 3 Limited Edition game disc and accompanying Essentials disc, but insists the problem is cosmetic and doesn't affect the discs' functionality.

Quality control problems continue to plague Microsoft (MSFT)'s Xbox 360 platform -- and Master Chief isn't immune.

Within hours of Tuesday's widely-hyped Halo 3 launch, the company was conceding that faulty packaging caused scratches on an unspecified number of game discs that found their way into customers' hands.

Microsoft said the problem affects the $70.00 Halo 3 Limited Edition -- both the game disc itself and an accompanying Essentials disc. It insists the problem is cosmetic, and doesn't affect the discs' functionality.

In a statement posted on its Xbox Web site, Microsoft said it will replace damaged Halo 3 discs under an existing disc replacement program. The offer applies only to the Limited Edition, and customers must send in their discs by Dec. 31 to receive a new one.

Internet reports indicate that many retailers are allowing customers to exchange damaged discs on the spot.

Microsoft was forced to implement the disc replacement program after numerous Xbox 360 users complained that the machines were leaving scratch marks on their game discs and rendering them unplayable. Several Xbox users hit with the problem have filed lawsuits against Microsoft, seeking class action status.

Scratched discs aren't the only problem that red-faced Microsoft officials have had to deal with concerning the Xbox 360. Earlier this year, they acknowledged that a manufacturing flaw caused thousands of the machines to seize up after only months of use. The company took a $1.06 billion charge against earnings in the fourth quarter to cover the cost of fixing or replacing the broken consoles.

Reports of the scratched Halo 3 discs couldn't come at a worse time for Microsoft. The company is counting on the game -- which broke industry records with more than 1.5 million presales -- to revive its flagging Xbox franchise, which is under pressure from rivals Sony and Nintendo.

In its fiscal fourth quarter, Microsoft disclosed that Xbox 360 sales had plunghed 60% year-over-year.

Posts on gaming blogs indicate that Halo 3's disc scratch problem isn't endearing customers to Microsoft or the Xbox 360. On the TGDaily blog, a forum poster named Bill Davis said "there is nothing worse than buying something and going home and have it not work."

Me and 3 friends got it at the midnight release, and played it all the way through (on Legendary, of course). It's fucking fantastic. The visuals (which are twice as uber to me because I just got an HDTV on sunday, yes, I got the TV for the game :P ), the audio, the experience in general is just awesome.

Make *sure* you don't push "A" after you beat the game when it comes to the screen where Bungie says thank you. Let it roll through the entire credits (No button pushing!) and you'll get to a nice little cutscene that answers your questions to the odd ending when you beat the last level. And if you beat it on Legendary, you get an extra little bonus to the cutscene.

I was thoroughly impressed with the game, and it was very well deserving of the hype it got. There are a few little things that I think I may have done differently, but I have faith that Bungie tried a realm of different things, and what they have packaged is what they deemed the best, so I'll accept that

I bought 2 pre-orders for the Limited Edition months ago. Found out the other night that they don't stack. Bought 2 Limited Editions: 1 for me and the other for my brother. My brother's CDs were scratched. My CDs were good.

The only things I don't like are that Cortana intermittently stops the gameplay to spew some psycho babble every few minutes, and that they brought back the old pistol skin but not the scope for it . Either way, this game is absolutely fantastic.

It seems one of our members, Jamie Murray (the 17 y/o Stookie owner), got a copy early thanks to his employment w/ Blockbuster. I was chatting with him via IM a couple days ago, shortly after he beat the campaign. Apparently their servers weren't available (not public?) when he tried entering multiplayer. I'm assuming they're now accessible? Oh, and I'm very intrigued by the video playback feature!! I could see myself spending many sleepless days toying with that. (I've still got some pretty intricate movies I made from the original PS game 'Driver' )

The fucking thing came completely in spanish!!!! I asked, emailed, and checked before I pre-ordered... those lying bastards pieces of shit sent to Mexico the spanish version only... However, I bitched to Microsoft and gave them all the ref numbers for the calls I made and emails I sent... long story short: they are sending me a free copy of the regular version, IN ENGLISH. Took the day off to get some sleep, woke up at noon and proceeded to continue playing it till 8pm. It seems like a whole different game than Halo 2 in multiplayer, but I can still own most noobs(not all). Qusestion I have though, are we still able to hear someone who is nearby on out tv? Cuz I played with the volume low, but I usually hear the other team talking but I couldnt with Halo 3.

Within hours of Tuesday's widely-hyped Halo 3 launch, the company was conceding that faulty packaging caused scratches on an unspecified number of game discs that found their way into customers' hands. Microsoft said the problem affects the $70.00 Halo 3 Limited Edition -- both the game disc itself and an accompanying Essentials disc. It insists the problem is cosmetic, and doesn't affect the discs' functionality. In a statement posted on its Xbox Web site, Microsoft said it will replace damaged Halo 3 discs under an existing disc replacement program. The offer applies only to the Limited Edition, and customers must send in their discs by Dec. 31 to receive a new one. In its fiscal fourth quarter, Microsoft disclosed that Xbox 360 sales had plunghed 60% year-over-year. Also I like the new online campaign setting. Overall the hype was well justified I think
