AV Gas... dangerous?
Not sure where to post this question, and if it gets deleted I understand.
I'm about to rebuild my 1.9 litre opel engine, and a thought occured to me. for its entire life this engine has run leaded fuel. I have always run AV Gas in it or aviation fuel which is still leaded. Is there any precautions I should take working on this motor? Just curious if anyone knew anything about this that I dont yet. Thanks.

Well if you're rebuilding it your machinists should be able to help you pick parts to work with unleaded gas. Everything nowadays is made of hard material that doesn't degrade. That and you'll be running less timing and higher octane to compensate. The lead used to result in higher octanes... Not no more
