Racing Forum Rules - Updated November, 2006
Let's get this out of the way first. This isn't the Old West anymore. Flaming people for the sake of doing so will not be tolerated, and will result in Infraction points being placed on your account. Repeated or severe Infractions carry with them temporary or permanent vacations from the board; note that this is a slippery slope. If your righteous indignation over being suspended from the board for a week prompts you to register another account solely to let us know of your disdain for us and our moderation methods, you'll find both/all of your accounts banned and/or deleted permanently. Established, long-time members are not immune.
Think before you post. Please. Now onto the Rules:
Why do we have these rules? Well, reference the first one. Club3G does not condone street racing. We know it happens, and we know why. We aren't going to discourage you from posting about it, but understand that you do so at your own risk. Any consequences are yours to bear. Regardless of what you've seen on TV, it is dangerous. You may be a racing legend in your own mind, but random events are called random for a reason. See this thread and this thread for examples of why street racing is dangerous. There are others out there, and, thanks to the Internet, very graphic images of the effects a wreck at highway speeds can have on your body. Or that of a loved one. Finally, see this thread for some off-the-cuff comments about C3G's general stance on your Racing stories. The Racing forum has the potential for a profound amount of entertainment value. Treat it as such. Don't go emo on us when we find something in your story that's just too juicy, absurd, or amusing to refrain from commenting. If we, the Moderation team, feel your story is worthy of a place in OT, we'll move it there. That's at our discretion, not yours. Once it's there, the Racing Forum Rules herein no longer apply; OT's Rules kick in. Believe me when I say that you'd much rather have your thread stay in Racing than be moved to OT. Again. Think before you post. Questions? Comments? PM a member of the Moderation team. |
