^thanks. even though i haven't really had a lot of change, I've learned a ton. I can't wait to get this semester over with so I can start going to the gym almost everyday. But some of the other contestants have done a tremendous job. Im really curious to see who wins it this time around.

Tomorrow (5/31) is the official deadline for final pictures and measurements. I would imagine the winner(s) will be declared early next week.

You fools are lucky I got sidetracked I didn't make it in... I just started about 3 1/2 weeks ago and I've already lost 17 lbs and a lot of inches. I can't find the before pictures, but if I do I'll post up. With 3 months it would be nuts...
But Wally, that is some really impressive work. Good for you. ![]() You too Dre. |

Right now, I'm leaner than I was at 135lbs (12 years ago when I graduated high school). My future plans are to drop a bit more body fat and get the abs visible without flexing, then start adding some quality muscle mass. My past attempts at gaining muscle came at the cost of too much body fat, so I plan to get very lean, then slowly and cleanly bulk up adding as little fat as possible.

Ok, I'll throw in my final pic here, just for kicks. I didn't have too far to go, but I accomplished what I wanted to.
![]() Before we announce the winner of the contest, I'd like to ask any of the competitors to please comment on how the contest has changed things in their lives, or those close to them. Any further goals or accomplishments you may have set as a result of C3GBLII? Pretty much anything you want to talk about. ![]() |

![]() For me, the past 4 months has really represented a huge change in my life. I was a guy who knew an awful lot about fitness, nutrition and diet, but looked like a poster boy for the McDonald's diet of death. My willpower was for shit and I did an awful lot of rationalization that kept me eating too much and exercising too little. Looking at my photos from the first BL contest next to my first photos for this round and seeing that I really had made no visible progress in over a year was a major turning point for me. I was FAT - no 2 ways about it. Through the energy and encouragement of those who stuck with this contest for the duration, I was able to keep pushing forward and really change my whole outlook on life. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but I THINK differently now. I have more confidence and a more optimistic outlook on, literally, everything. I wake up feeling great and sleep well. Work is not the drag it once was. Household chores are nothing, where they used to be a major drag. I rarely sit down when out of my office and not sleeping now. I have energy for days. If anyone read any of my old posts in the "weekend plans" threads, you may recall that most of my plans involved getting drunk at least 2 nights per weekend. To tell the truth, I was probably knocking down 4+ cocktails at least 4 nights per week prior to this contest. As things sit now, I'll drink 4-5 beers or cocktails on rare occasion, but a normal week for me now may not even include a single alcoholic beverage. If I do drink, I'm fine with 1 or 2 drinks. I used to always need 1 more. I ran two 5K's during this contest and I plan on taking the next step and competing in an "offroad", sprint-distance triathlon later this summer. I've inspired my father to start lifting weights and he's now down 20lbs of fat in the last 2.5 months and really starting to enjoy it. My wife is also a more frequent visitor to the gym than she was a few months ago, though she was already in good shape, she now incorporates weight lifting into her trips to the gym. I have also learned to cook and, if I do say so myself, gotten pretty good at it I can make healthy & delicious food and serve it to people without them even knowing it's healthy. |

I participated in both the first and second C3GBL competitions and both were very beneficial, but the second one much more so because I was more active and kept up with a lot of peoples threads. Now, I personally didn't change much physically because towards the end with school and work just wasn't able to go to the gym on a consistent basis. I did however learn a ton of information that will greatly help me reach my goal that I probably wouldn't have learned without this competition. Such as my diet and workout routines. You wouldn't of even known this was a competition the way everyone was helping each other out, pushing each other, and motivating people. The way others were able to change and seeing their progress really motivated me. There were days where I was too lazy or too discouraged due to lack of progress to get my ass up and go to the gym, but all I had to do was get on here and read other peoples threads or the comments they made on mine to quit slacking. I hope the threads stay open even after this competition is over because its summer time now and I actually have time to really go to the gym almost everyday if I want to. Logging your stats really helps. Seeing you've progressed makes you feel really good. C3GBL has been such a huge help for me and I again thank everyone who has helped me and I hope to see more in round 3
