Does it seem like a lot of people are... (maybe NOGAF)
dieing lately, or is it just me. Not famous people, but people that you kind of know and such.
Just this week I had to go to two wakes. One for a cop who killed himself - one to the head, and another for a kid I graduated with. He was killed in a drunk driving accident. He was in the back seat when the car flipped and he wasnt wearing his seat belt and was partially ejected. His head creamed the guard rail and was dead on impact. They were all drunk, but the driver and other passanger survived. My fire department responded to that call, and I didnt respond because I was already at work 2 hours away when the call went off. It was a bad call from what I heard and very very bloody, ect. And before these, about 2 months ago, two other kids that I went to school with overdosed on Heroin within weeks of each other. I also found out yesterday that another person that I didnt know, but my friends knew, died on his motorcycle coming back from the cops wake. OH BOY!! |

I've been to a lot of wakes lately, but I find nothing surprising in it. There are two wars going on I went to a military school. Add to that a few motorcycles, car accidents, and the fact that I'm at an age where parents of people my age are getting pretty old and it's just going to happen.

I don't think I will be able to handle death that easily. I've been blessed that no one close to me has died. I know that it's going to happen sometime, but I really don't know how I am going to handle it. It seems to be looming on the horizon, my grandparents both have been recently diagnosed with cancer/heart problems.

I dono, most people do die due to accidents and natural causes which we can't help, but there are some things you could do to prevent it for a while such as being healthy. Im not saying everyone should be hercules, just as long as they are healthy for their weight that's all that matters. So many diseases and deaths are the cause of being unhealthy which is sad because most of the time its something we can do something about. |

Yeah, I really worry about my parents' health. My dad has a heart condition, and my mom has Lupus so I guess I really am always worrying about it. I don't let it affect me in person or anything, but it always dwells on my mind. I guess it's just because I am growing up, and I realize my parents are getting closer to becoming grandparents, but I am always riding them about their health. It just makes me feel better to attempt to do something. |

^^ I know exactly how you guys feel. I personally have never had anyone really close to me die. I really didn't know my grandparents all that well. Mainly because my Grandmother died before I was born and I lived about 1000 miles away from my Grandfather. But I know the day is coming. My Dad has terminal cancer. That is something that is always on my mind.
