Free FICO Credit Score from Equifax (only for first 10,000)

I didn't put this in the "Credit Thread" because it's only for the first 10,000 people to take it: Limited time offer for your FREE FICOŽ score!

I just did mine and Equifax gave me an 801 score

778.

I wonder if just purchasing the house made any impact on pulling my score down a bit. Everything was rated "Very Good" except for Amount of New Credit, which was "Not Good". Odd.

I just did it for my wife and she also scored 778 (Amt of Debt=Very Good; Amt New Credit=Good; Payment Hist=Great; Length of Credit Hist=Very Good)

Under "Understanding Your Score" it does state she has a newly opened credit account that's hurting her score.

very cool my score is a little low right now, my biggest negatives are Amt of Debt, Length of credit hist....

I should however be debt free by Dec 31st of this year. Only thing i will owe is my house & my wifes new car.

Congrats to those with a 700 or better score. You can buy whatever you want, whenever you want.

For those that didn't get in on the offer, you can always buy your scores through the bureau sanctioned website at www.annualcreditreport.com. It costs a few bucks per score (I think $50 total), but I still highly recommend doing that. The damage that can be made to someone's credit report caused by identity theft, bad information, etc. is quick and painful to get it removed. Figure even a mistake can take as much as 60-90 days to get removed. Identity theft can take MUCH longer. Better to get it cleared up before you need to apply for credit!

SOrry Flippy, I have need to wait before I can e-rep you

Yep. You can get your bureau once a year, through the link I posted. You have to pay to get your score. Hence the 50 bucks or so. And unlike the other site FreeCreditReport.com | Free Credit Report and Credit Score Online by Experian, there is nothing to sign up for that has re-occuring charges.
