2) Hate to give you the bad news but here it is, pull your credit ASAP. If you co-sign for someone you are accepting responsibility for the card, even if you just co-sign. My advice is pull it and make sure that it isn't on there, if it is things like that have a wierd way of showing that you filed a BK and it causes a lot of issues. If so then follow my dispute process and it will all work out in time. But it could also be on there, showing a BK, and it would still hurt your score partially. So either way if it is on there dispute it and see if you can try and get it taken off. This brings me to another thing. If you are ever disputing an account don't say the account is yours, say you don't recall it and don't believe it is yours. The worst that can happen is you get stuck with it. Way too many times have I had someone fuck it up by saying something like "Well I did, but don't want it on there anymore" dumbasses! |

Hey I just had a question for you Alan..
I just graduated from college in May and need to get a credit card to build some credit. I've never had one, so I'm wondering what kind of limit I should expect/look for my first one? I'm employed but have only been at my job since June. Also do you have any suggestions as to a company to get a card from? I checked out some of the "top 10" sites on the net, but I got turned down for the first 4 I applied for since I don't have a credit history. Sorry if the question isn't really in your realm of expertise |

Wow, reading this thread made me very happy to have my house. Bought it last year for $330,000, now it's at $550,000. I can't believe that my little 1300 square feet home would require a jumbo loan if I were to buy it today.
I refinanced last month before prime went up and landed me a nice $60,000 no-fee equity line too. Not that I'm planning on charging up sixty-grand this holiday or anything like that, but it's at a very low rate and I could always use the bail money... |

Sell your stereo equipment on audiogon.com and you could probably get rid of some of that debt.
BTW, you're not going to get the best rate in the world if you do what you're trying to do. Financing 100% of a house is already an ugly thing but to do over 100%? Ew. You can always qualify for a loan--whether or not you can afford the loan is another thing entirely! |

get a prepaid credit card through the bank or credit union if you don't have a credit history there is no chance of getting denied. To many denials also looks bad on your credit. |

I hate experian. They had two extra SSN attached to my account. Apparently I own two extra cars, have lived in LA, have abundant student loans and have defaulted on a couple accounts. Only Experian was showing this shit.RIiiiiight. So I had to take care of that with a bunch of letters. Thanks for wasting my time, dickwads!!! |
