HOW TO: Adjust Headlight Aim Level

Presented to you by Glenn

The owner's manual tells us that we should take our cars to the dealers if we want to adjust the aim... but all we really need is to know where the adjusting knob is.

You'll need a Phillips screwdriver to adjust the aim, and if you have a short one, you won't need to take off the headlight assembly if you know what you're looking for.

Otherwise, you'll need a 10mm wrench to remove the bolts holding the headlights in place.

There are actually two adjustors for each headlight.. one for the vertical, and one for the horizontal. Mostly, we are only concerned with the vertical (circled in the picture). Be sure you park on a level surface and that the car is sufficiently far away from a flat wall (or large mirror), so you can better check the levels of both your lights.

Turn the knob clockwise to adjust the aim lower, and counter-clockwise to aim higher.
