As many people have said before in the last 2 pages of this thread, your car was a big inspiration for some of the things I did to mine. Mine is also gone now too, but sold - not totaled. Sorry for your loss, I'm glad you're OK. Have fun with your new toy!

Thank you everyone for the compliments and/or condolences for my 3G. I would be a fool if I said that even after all this time I did not miss my Eclipse to this day. To me, it was a very special car and I never had any intentions of parting with it. The 350Z was an affordable natural progression in car ownership for the type of people that typically own 3Gs. I am content with my 350Z, but it still does not have my heart like the 3G did.

350 z's are nice but they're damn near ubiquitous on the road. Did you look at any 4g eclipses? To be honest I wouldn't bother, good job with the 350, way more modding potential and more of a "mans" car i would say. I love my 3g and will probably have it for another 4-5 years but I'll be damned if I don't get embarrassed when I see 30-40 year old women driving the same car as me.

I still see more 3Gs on the road than 350z around here.

It is so sad to see that Silver Eclipse, which inspired me to Buy 3G and bring to Europe for the cost of good Evo, is damaged and left to get parted or so...
As to picture - In my country - it is considered to be a "scratch" and could be fixed at about 1-1.5K And as to 350Z successor - it is very logic and cool after 3G !

Hey Russ, from one Devil Dog to another I'm glad that you are doing good and moving on with the 350. I can only imagine how you felt and still feeling...I bought my 01 3G GT brand new and it is still going strong and looking good after nearly 130K on it. Semper Fi!

Dude sorry to read this. You made me want to mod my 3G when I had it. Mine was just over 100K 4 years ago and it was showing its age.
It was hard, and is still when I see it. At least no one was hurt.

Wow... Your car died on the exact same day as my birthday. My birthday is November 9.
I can feel your loss. I know what it is like losing a 3G eclipse that you put your time and money into. It's tough and it's one of those things that bothers you for a long time. The good thing is that you are alive. That's what I said when I survived my accident in my Eclipse GS. If you can treat victory and defeat the same, then you can handle anything. But what I did when I lost my Eclipse GS was I just bought another 3G and I got an Eclipse Spyder GTS. I really didn't want another car because I still had fond memories of my old 3G and in terms of horsepower from a 4 Cyl to V6 it was better. I wouldn't own any other car unless it was like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini or something like that because I'll take a super car over a 3G.

Hey Tearstone, after reading up I realized you no longer own a 3g but I was directed to you with this question. Do you still make the Mistubishi symbol overlays for the front and back emblems? Thank you.

I thought this was going to be important, oh well. If you want it, then buy it. Its the wings west body kit, it says so on the first page.

This was an epic 3G and showed just what this platform is capable of. Also tearstone's knowledge and dedication was a gift to this community. I feel this thread should be closed so stupid noobs stop posting ridiculousness.
Maybe even make it a sticky so it never gets lost and is easy to find, but just something should be done to prevent useless bumps. If you have a question just read the info in the thread. \
