DAMN, you don't be bullshittin!
Greg can you do me a HUGE favor? Before you put the new engine in can you clean the frame under the hood? Basically the firewall and all the white part of the inside, I really want this thing looking clean. No oil splashes, dirt and little rocks. Like the cars in Super Street and Import Tuner, when you see pics of the motor and the frame around the motor. It's so clean you could eat of it. PLEASE, I need that.

As I'm sure we're all aware of there was a hurricane passing over the Atlantic which gave the Northeast some rain this morning. Around 5am I was so bored and also I miss my car so much that I decided to go to Greg's house to see my car.
Nah, I drove to Springfield, VA to buy a set of Evo VIII wheels with tires and then went to Greg's house in Silver Spring, MD to drop them off along with my Brembos. Here are some pics:Lifeless with the guts ripped out ![]() ![]() ![]() The Evo VIII wheels, the previous owner had them painted. His name is Devin aka sub12anyone from evolutionm.net. A real good kid with a nice family, sold them to me for $450. This is why I had to back out of buying RedEclipse00's wheels even though they are nice as well. ![]() Playing photoshop trying to see what they'll look like on the car. ![]() ![]() Precious cargo. ![]() Family reunion. ![]() It was an easy ride down but a hard ride back. There was what looked like a spill of sand on the NJ Turnpike between exits 6 through 8 which caused a 20 mile delay which for me cost me 2 hours. Fortunately the rain had gone away and I was able to put the SDS to some long awaited use on the highways. It's not a turbo but it's definetly no slouch either. Something to hold me down until Greg finishes his masterpiece.

![]() The brembo calipers off of an Evo VIII. ![]() ![]() ![]() The air to water intercooler kit. ![]() The 3.7L motor. ![]() ![]() ![]() The motor is ready to go in but Greg and I are waiting for a tranny to be delivered which he'll put together. I'm also waiting for the rotors and SS brake lines to arrive so the wheels and Brembos can be installed. If all goes well hopefully this car can be fired up by the end of next week.

shit, I can't wait. This Sunday makes one full month I've been without the car and it's KILLING me. A tranny is supposed to arrive at PharmEcis' place today and once he puts it together he can install the motor and tranny. I'm expecting some Brembo rotors and SS brake lines today in the mail so I can take them down to Greg and we could install them by the weekend. Greg definetly put the best parts in. It's like cooking a dish, he made the grocery list and did the shopping, I payed for it and now he's cooking it. Now I just want a taste. ![]() Thanks, most of the credit goes to PharmEcis (Greg). He definetly is putting in work and taking no short cuts on ANYTHING. Yeah, you saw the hardtop (04MOJOGT's) which I'm currently driving now and trying to sell. The SDS is still kicking. It's holding me down while Greg works his magic. When this gets done I'll give you a holla so you can see it.

Well the tranny didn't arrive at Greg's house today nor did my Brembo rotors arrive at my house.
But something did go right today as the Stainless steel braided brake lines arrived. It's funny how the brake lines I ordered on 9-2-09 arrive from Canada before the rotors that were shipped from Nevada on 9-01-09. Hopefully the rotors and tranny arrive tomorrrow, I won't hold my breath. Here are some pics of the brake lines:![]()

Thanks. Greg has video footage of the build now and I imagine is adding more to it. If it's done by the time you get here we could arrange a meet up so you could see it.

Well today turned out to be a pretty good day, the transmission arrived at Greg's today.
It turns out that they attempted to deliver it yesterday but the freight company claimed Greg wasn't home but he actually was there. It's always something, the pics will be posted when Greg gets the time to take them. Hopefully sometime this weekend Greg can work his magic and the motor and tranny will be installed and the car will be driveable at least by the end of next week. Continuing the positive theme, the front Brembo rotors arrived today. They measured 12.5". They look really good and are smooth on both sides with plenty of meat left. I almost made the dummy move by going to Greg's house tonight to drop off the brake lines and rotors, good thing I checked the boxes before I left because only the front rotors came. The rears are on their way. Like I said it's always something. But in this case something is better than nothing. Anyways here are the front rotors:![]() Passenger front ![]() ![]() ![]() Driver front ![]() ![]()

The Spyder I'm going to keep of course and 04MOJOGT's old one is up for sale right now. I put Autobot badges on both cars and the left foglight I took out to see how the HID's MOJO put in were fitting. I still have the foglight just haven't put it back in yet.

Another Spyder-specific question; can you install a rear tower brace in the Spyder, or would it impede the roof retraction? |

I talked to Greg today and he informed me of some good news and some not so good news. The good news is that the motor and tranny is hooked up together and ready to go in.
The not so good news is that he can't put the motor in because he can't powerwash the engine compartment because his brother has his powerwasher. I could deal with that. We're aiming for sunset Sunday or Monday to have the car running. Greg sent me these pics because he knows I need something to calm my nerves while I wait:![]() ![]() Almost there, almost there.

![]() ![]() Just received this from Greg within the past hour: ![]() As you can see the engine compartment has been powerwashed and from this picture looks as clean as from the factory. Much work still needs to be done, hopefully it'll be running tomorrow according to Greg. I believe he's working on it as I type this post. I'll be saying my prayers.

Yes it is. It's also a little weird in a sense to look at from the standpoint that I've seen a lot of turboed cars over the past 3 years getting worked on at RIPP and thinking to myself "those turbo manifolds look good, I wish I had a turbo in my car". Now to see it although in a picture, it feels almost unreal knowing you finally have it and the fact that it's a rare thing to see in a 3G.
