I had fun taking the pictures! It was a blast driving all the way out to Ransom Canyon. All of the old people that drove by were incredibly nice to us. Even that old lady that wanted my car.

By the way, how did this one slip in?

Yeah it was fun. I nearly died of heatstroke! It was hot! Oh and yeah, Crimson thought he had a flat tire after offroading. I didn't exactly help when I said that I swore I could hear a hissing sound

Even for a Canon, those look good. I'd fill the frame a tad more on a couple. Looks great otherwise.

Haha, my bad Crim. I wasn't joking when I said I heard hissing. I really thought I heard hissing and I thought, "ah crap, i made him offroad and gave him a flat........."

And that's cool that we got comments on facebook. Can't see though, i don't use Facebook.

Yeah, its a 5speed. It was HARD to find! This car I wanted with THAT color, THAT model, THAT tranny, THAT Midnight Leather etc etc. The car is the way I wanted it to be when I did my research. It was easy finding it with everything I wanted except the tranny. I jumped on this car the moment I found out it was a 5speed.

AND, the dealer put the wrong sticker price during one of their super special "EVERYTHING MUST GO LAWL," sales. It was listed for the RS price. 17-18k. Walked out with a STEAL! They tried to fix it but they couldn't because, "The price on the car is the price you pay!"

UPDATE 7-26-09: Got those sound system pics and a video for ya'll

With the guidance from Chereck04 I was able to find a great aftermarket upgrade for my car audio. Well worth the very expensive price. The video goes the system no justice. Cant even hear the bass in it. Enjoy!

I also noticed that I posted as Titanium Steel Blue Pearl. Its Torched Steel Blue Pearl. I dunno

Well, I never installed a car audio system before so this was a first. I'd say it took around 12 hours to install everything.

I had to do some fabricating on the tweeter casing because the new tweeters were too big to mount on the old brackets. I got lucky that the new ones snapped into place without a bracket. I used some silicone to give it some extra holding power. It looks completely natural.

You can get the HU at crutchfield for 550 instead of 1k right now.

At this time, my current sub box and amp mounts will most likely be a temporary thing. I plan to do some measuring and such to fabricate a box that will look at it were part of the car and have a nice plixiglass window with a mirror on the bottom and a blue hue. When this wil be done I'm unsure. I'm saving up for some projectors right now.

Time for me to do an update! 12-03-09

Ok, so since my last post here, I made a few changes.

First off I met CrimsonGT. Real cool guy. His 3G is just as pretty in person as it is in his photos. No, not really. Its better in person
We went off for a photo shoot in Ransom Canyon near my hometown. These photos were the original photos for this topic.

He helped a great deal on tinting the reverse and tail lights. They came out great!! We did have one minor mistake on my left reverse but fixed it. But then my sister accidentally tripped over it in the garage. Had to redo it.

RESULTS!!

After a good amount of time, I had to suffer a break in while at a club with a few friends. The drivers side window was smashed out and a purse was stolen. I AM SOOOO HAPPY nothing happened to my stereo system. The Head Unit didn't get a screwdriver to the face and all the items in the trunk were safe. Since I was getting my window replaced...eh why not.....WINDOW TINT!!

RESULTS!!

And Just this week, I installed Sonar Projectors, 6k HIDs, and Smoked Turn. Thanks Joeyoey!

And just because its cute!! Taken from my dorm room window

I love your car, push down the TYC tails on your list IMO. Your nightshaded stockers look awesome with your car. Perhaps even better than black TYCs with your car color.

And did you have a plan on the colors for your new rims? Your current silver rims *didn't* match the car color too well until you added those smoked front turns. No idea why that changed anything in my mind, but it really did. And when you change the rims, if you change the color, consider changing the color of the Mitsubishi logos and gas cap. That's what your current wheels kinda match and makes them look good IMO. Perhaps get your gas cap matched to your current wheels as well for a short term look if nothing else. Just an easy little thing.

That's 2 on you car look, but it looks amazing as is.

Thanks None2None. I'm still looking at TYCs because both its all around re on both the turns and brakes. I read a nice post somewhere on making both stay lit when driving around and having them brighten when hitting the brakes using the turn signal. They will still be nite shaded the same way so that it doesnt have that clear shell looking into the black housing. I like how the tint kinda flows with the car on the stockers rather than sorta "cave in." I should do a photoshop on it to see how it looks really.

The Gas cap, I gotta get a hold of a alloy one. Plastic isn't my thing. I'. going to have it powdercoated black and keep the little bolts or lugs or whatever they are their original color.

As for the wheels. I REALLY need to photoshop those. The Enkei RS7s have 3 colors. Two which look nice. I'm aiming towards the Anthracite because of the black and silver lip. I dunno yet

Anthracite

Silver

What does everyone else think? Anthracite yeah?

My friend just got a set of those Enkeis in Gun Metal for his Celica GTS, they look really good and I think you should go with them in the Anthracite color.

alright so I washed my car and did a few small itty bitty mods. I removed the front plate and put it on the dash. Then I spray painted some screws black so that would match the new black plate cover I got in the back. I'll try to get some sunny day pics soon. I swear my car likes to change colors depending on the sun.

Also, my car reached 60k and is showing her age some. So, major mods done to the car are on hold till I get her nice and running smooth again. This includes a Timing Belt, Sparks and Wires, Water Pump, A/C compressor, Motor Mounts, realign the new driver side window.

I plan on lowering as the first major mod.

Just a quick update....well, more like news.

I had the driverside window realigned. It was smashed during a break in and the window show aligned the window too far in and it would dig into the moulding. It acted like a spring when i opened the door and closing the door made me feel i was going to break it.

I bought a used A/C compressor, and some prothane motor mounts. Timing Belt, sparks and wires will come later.

I also retinted the rear turns and tail. The Model car tint didn't have UV protection it seemed. Started to go purpleish. I also gave the front turns a slight tint. They all look great. The rears are a bit darker but I like it that way.

But the big update is..................ready for it?!

COILOVERS!!!!!!

I'm going to order Megan's on Monday or Tuesday from wesellcarparts. First I gotta find out if the rear needs a camber kit. Gotta do some searches. I know the front doesn't need any. But YAY! This car is about to hit da flo'!

You bet! I'm really excited. My first major mod. I will also take pics of the install process. From what I've read, it doesn't seem like a hard task. Other than getting the height right, and working the corner weight(which I won't be able to do at the time), It should be a real breeze. My beautiful baby boo is gonna be sooo nice.

Now if only I can find some damn anthracite 18" enkei RS7s. They're no where to be found because i believe they're discontinued. Lame!

Although, the Advan Model 5 knockoffs are catching my eye. I can only find some from Excel(NO!!)
