Haha lucky you! I havent been as fortunate...maybe i'll try to get a job next school year but we'll see and yeah, you and spencer (if he's in town) and everyone should come down for Import Alliance in April. It's always a great turnout and a lot of fun!

Anyways, I've had some parts sitting in my garage for about two years now that I could not afford to get painted since I am a student at the University of Georgia...and at most I'd drive my car like once a week so I had other priorities. However, I finally gathered enough money to get some stuff done this winter break. The new mods consist of:

03-05 front bumper conversion
GT side skirts added
Driver's side fender repaired
Rear bumper resprayed
New Head Unit
5% tint strip on winshield

An actual photoshoot will be done once I install my fake vents and fog lights. Hopefully I can get Treehead to come out with me since we haven't taken photos together in awhile (HINT HINT)...but for now you get crappy cell phone pictures. Enjoy and comments are welcome!

About to perform surgery on the bumper because of course there are cracks in it...

00-02 front bumper removed

03-05 front bumper installed

About to head to the Auto Body and Paint Shop

Finished product

I really want to get some new tail lights but I am torn on which ones I want. TYCs are really overrated and waaayyy overpriced IMO...and I really want LED tail lights. I don't want to nightshade them. I would just keep them as is. Here's what i've been looking at:

1. These are only $48. I would leave the white on my bumper lights nightshaded and remove the nightshade on the red part so that they match my tails. The nighshaded reverse lights would match my black painted mitsubishi emblem and wheels.

2. These are $140. I know these aren't very popular on here but I think they'd match my color scheme very well...plus they dont have those ugly bubbles.

I think they look good on the car...

Pictures taken from: Piojo12002's Eclipse GTS Spyder! El Paso Tx.

3. $75...ehh these are OK. I know I can do the TYC mod for them but i've heard of too many failed attempts and I dont know of anybody who has done them in my area that'd be willing to help me out. So these would just stay as is

Any opinions/input would be greatly appreciated. I just want to know which ones would look best on my car

I think the second ones would look good only if you got them red tinted or went with black tint

if you want red then definitely the first, if black then go with the second both will look good. I like the circle led's of the first though

Thanks for the input guys I think I am going to go with the first set of tail lights and re-tint my bumper lights so that only the white part is night-shaded.

Get the crystal clear depo reverse and use tint film like I did, I can still see decently at night and it doesn't break up the look of the rear end.

Honestly bud, those last taillights would look real sick on your car if you got rid of that stupid mercedes thing in the middle. Thats the first time I have seen that style and actually kind of like it. Just my opinion.

I would buy some new bumper lights...but mine do not work They never have since I bought the car and no one has been able to figure out why. Therefore i'm not too worried about light output or anything. Just looks

Yeah, I would love to try and take them apart so that I could remove that stupid mercedes symbol but i've seen tooo many failed attempts so I am not even going to try. I think the mercedes symbol will be less obvious with the red tails so I am going to go with those.

My friend's aunt was in town for a little bit and she has an EXTREMELY nice camera that she let us borrow to go take some pictures. I was honestly scared to mess with any of the features on the camera, but here are a few of the shots that I liked

I had no idea this photo was going to be taken. My friend was just messing with the camera as we were heading to the spot for the photoshoot

Oh and I came home from school to this today

All of the new parts should be installed soon

Do it. It really makes a big difference. All I bought for the swap was:

Front Bumper- $40
Turn Signals- $35
Fake Vents- $25
Fog Lights- $55

I installed everything myself using the How-to's in the garage, and literally everything bolted up perfectly. I didn't need to buy anything else besides the things listed above.

Certifit. Look on their website and see if they have a shop near you. I just called and told them what I wanted, and the parts came in 3 days later. I went and picked them up without having to pay for shipping or anything

The tails look good man. The front looks really good as well. I think for your reverse lights, you should take the black off and just tint them all red to match everything in the rear

I went to the shop out in Forest Park, Ga. It's only about a 45 minute drive from where I live so its convenient for me I think it's where body shops purchase parts for customers. That's why there prices are sooo low

PS: I may be needing some retrofitted headlights soon so maybe we could work something out

If you look in the catalog the 03 bumper is going to be listed as "Bumper Cover, front (2/02-05)". I'm not sure if the part numbers are the same for all store catalogs but for my store the part number is MR990611. Let me know if you still cant find it

The original plan was to do what jstewart92 said, but the tail lights aren't really red. They are more of a burgundy color. Im not sure if you can tell from the pictures or not but the tinted red lens on my reverse lights match the tail lights perfectly. That's why I am going to leave them tinted.

The all red bumper lights don't look bad, but I feel like it'd be an overkill with all that red on the rear

Just south of Atlanta, hmm? Well we may be able to work something out! If you wanted to come down and deliver for me one morning and spend a day in Savannah or so (while I worked on housings) I could probably turn-around same day on Mini H1's or FxR 3.0s if I really pushed it. You'd also save on the shipping. This is assuming of course that you don't opt for the $75 shipped new black OEM style housings for your retro. Food for thought, nevertheless!

Thanks I have put a lot of work into it, I am glad that it is an inspiration to others.

and yeah 170k is a little too much miles on it to start boosting it.

Yeah that's what I figured I do want to own a boosted car at some point in my life. Hopefully the eclipse lasts me until graduation and then I can get something nice with low miles. I really love the 3.8 genesis coupes (before the ugly styling change in 2012)

The led bulbs needed can be found in the garage section. The only mod you have to do is remove the orange film from the back of the main gauges. If you know what to do it's pretty easy and will take around an hour, but first time it's going to be tricky and will definitely take over an hour

Thanks man! I actually got the wheels for a steal off of craigslist for $300 I had to pay for new tires though

Here's the gauge face:
Old

New

Most of the aftermarket gauge faces were a little too ricey for my taste. I just prefer clean and simple...plus I only paid $5 for the new one

Im sure those gauge faces are a whole new look for you but they look OEM to me. The 01-02 Stratus coupe has black gauges just like that. Ive always thought they look better then any of the 3G gauges.

Love the before and after shots, it looks a lot better.
