So I'm thinking about working on the interior Thursday night.. Hatch pieces have a lot of scuffs and need suggestions on sanding and what kind of paint people have used.

The plastic parts? Try using Kiwi shoe polish. I've been using it on a lot of pieces in my car and it makes them look like new. Try it on a small pice first, and if you don't like it then use some spray.

Well.. went to pick up the car today from the body shop.. noticed my wheels had a weird look to them (see in the pics below). I tried to rub it off with my finger, but wouldnt come off. Guy at body shop said it was a cleaner they used, and itll come off once they finish washing it. Came back later, picked car up, got home, and noticed it wasnt off, and was NOT coming off no matter how hard I scrubbed. So going back tomorrow to drop the car back off and have them fix them.. or have someone re-powdercoat them for me. Cause I be DAMN if im gonna pay $300-400 to have them done, when its the body shops fault.
Also, my door handle is messed up, and the keyhole is shoved inside my door panel, so If my keyless entry doesnt work to unlock the car.. I cant get in it. So they also have to fix that! But here it is... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Installed my black TYCs, along with my reverse lights (3rd brake light coming soon) And here are the wheels.. let me know what you guys think, and what may take the stain off, or if the wheels are completely worthless, and need to be re-done. ![]() Also saw a little problem.. going to have to cut part of the plastic behind the bumper in order to install my fog lights too...

Don't try to fix it yourself. Its the body shops problem, let them take care of it. If you try using something else to clean it and its noticeable, they can very easily pawn it off back on you. If they're timid fixing it, raise some hell! Ask to talk to the gm if the service writer doesn't want to help. Raise enough hell and they'll fix it. Trust me, I work at a bodyshop
A pissed off customer is bad for business rep!

![]() Plus, I have the pictures to prove that it got messed up in the shop.. if you look back on the other page, where my car is in the shop, with the hood up, look at the front left wheel, and you can see the marks on the wheels at that time! |

Shit like that is why I'm hesitant to use body shops. I don't trust them with my baby. It's just another car to them. Get in, get out, get paid.
Anyways, car looks good though needs lowered, bad. Lol

The body shop does good work.. They had been busy lately an he has a bunch of guys working for him and its hard to keep a guy on eye on all of them.
If I have the car back by Friday then I'm going to my grandpas and gonna cut the plastic and hook up the fog lights finally. Dropped car off at the shop.. They're fixing my door handle.. An gonna TRY to clean the wheel and if not, he's gonna pay for them to get repowdercoated... And of so... I'm thinking white! |

Car is getting lowered in a couple weeks.. Got to looking last night and the lip is only 4 inches or so from the ground right now.. So if I drop it 1.5.. That's 2.5 from the ground! And I'm anal about my car and don't know if I wanna take the chance of scraping it all up right now

Raman just needs to own this site as much as he's on here! Lol. And that's the same 3rd brake light I was gonna buy. Looked at the LED one.. But won't look right unless I had the led tails. Send me the link to the LED tail light I mentioned.. Mine has a slight yellow tint on my reverse light and I hate it!
I'll check his car out and we'll see how far I wanna go |

Hahaha, weathers been nice so I have been just out and about.
You don't have to get the whole car wrapped, just the parts more prone to chips (like front bumper/hood/maybe fenders). If you have local vinyl shops you can get some quotes (probably be a few hundred atleast). Or you can wrap it yourself and save a lot of money (probably like 1/3 or 1/4 the cost of a shop doing it). |

I might look into it.. might not.
quick question for anyone! I did the 03 gauge cluster/face swap.. swapped out blue LEDs, that the guy had in the 03 gauges, all worked except for 1, I took it out, replaced it with a white one I had. Then none of the bulbs work after that. The clock pod, HVAC, and cubby hole light all will work with the dim switch.. but for some reasons my LEDs wont work. I checked the fuse, and it was fine. And the switch isnt bad either, cause it works with the other spots. I turned the LEDs, 180 degrees as others said.. and still dont work either. |

I made the mistake of not disconnecting the battery when I did mine and accidentally grounded out the thin plastic circuit board on the back and burned thru one of the circuits. Look for a lil burnt connection on the lil green circuit board on the back of the cluster.

yea my brother and stepbrother can both solder.. when I get a chance to do it today i'll take it out and take a look ont he back, i just glanced at it last night when i flipped all the bulbs 180, and I cant exactly remember if there was a burnt spot on them. But like i said, I had took the bulbs out and everything 2-3 times before, and nothing went wrong. Guess my luck ran out!

well... gauge cluster musta been screwed up. Had to replace the whole cluster with one with 136k.. compared to my car having 125k. But, it id rather have a cluster with wrong miles, and speedo/rpm working, and bulbs working, than having a gauge with right miles.. and nothing working on it.
going tuesday morning to check out colors for my wheels to get repowdercoated i'll take pictures of the colors I like.. and post on here |

I put up a vote thing on the facebook page and most people think I should go with white.. and to begin with, that's what I was leaning towards.
Not gonna go by the shop to look at colors until Wednesday morning before work. THIS WEEKEND= Install fog lights Install 3rd brake light Install D2 coilovers Put on club3g decals If my black door panels come in the mail before this weekend, I may do the whole interior swap friday night after I put the coils on... then going to a car show here at home on saturday (thats the plan for this weekend, but im lazy, so its all subject to change) lol |

Got the fogs hooked up today finally
![]() And a friend of mine was nice enough to have time to help me out with something else.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Car was a 4 finger gap.. now its a 2. its pretty rough ride right now, cause I have been riding on it to see how stiff/soft I want it, and adjusting it as I go til I figure out how I want it to ride. ALSO.. as we took off my front right wheel, we noticed the sway bar link was moving (which isnt suppose to move), and went to the other side, and it was broken off and just sitting there. So that explains a slight popping noise I kept hearing. No telling how long its been like that, so im ordering some new end links, and a camber kit for the rear, because the camber is worse than I thought it was going to be. But.... I LOVE IT! ![]() ![]() ![]() more pics tomorrow after our small town car show Last edited by ClOsEr15; 05/26/2012 at 01:38 AM. |

Guy at the shop said it could take from a couple days, up to 3 weeks to get them back.. and I be damned if I wanna have my stock wheels on for 3 weeks, cause I need to get a camber kit for the rear, and get that straightened away, then get my car aligned again |

yea im leaning towards white man... BUT.. now that i have my interior swapped to black.. Im digging the black/blue, so I may go with a dark dark grey like I have on there now, or some kind of black. BUT... white would set it off well too and break up the blue/black scheme
