I plastidipped it once already, but I'm gonna have our painted for real soon so I pulled it all off again. I need to roll the fenders, get some small spacers for the rear, and lower the car a bit more and then it'll be time for the vline to go on. It needs a certain amount of stance to really pull it off IMO.

Go with those xxr 527's in the 18"x8.75" could run a 235 without spacers. Might have to use them in the rear for bigger tires though. My 19s are +35 and have 235s and its pretty close to that control arm in the rear. I'm looking at maybe going out another 5mm or so in the rear.
On that note; anyone know of any good/inexpensive extended studs and small spacer plates? I doubt they make hub centric 5mm spacers. |

You don't think 10mm would stick out? I want to be able to tuck the tire in the fender. |

Friend sent me another pic he took while we were messing with the wheels the other day.
![]() Yes I know the tire is one backwards. No I am not driving with those wheels, I still have my green stockers on. |

It's been a while since I checked in on you
![]() Really liking the design of the new wheels, though not sold on the color. There's just nothing that I see on your car that matches them even somewhat remotely. Making me wish I had saved up all this time for coils instead of my sportlines but heck, I'll probably be needing some soon as I've got 40k miles on mine...Keep it up man!

Orange or Teal would definitely be cool.
![]() Just throwing this back out there. Have you thought about painting it that same Serenity Green like your current wheels? Since they are bigger, you would really be able to see the little flakes in the paint more. Or are you ready for a new look?

see what I just started!?I say go with something subtly different or matching with a theme you've got. Unless you want to scream "I'm a douche!" everywhere you drive. I never really have liked wheels that scream a color that isn't related to their car in any other way. They just don't make sense to me! *edit - on second thought, I think you should do a two-tone for the wheels, the design looks simple enough to pull off quite elegantly.

This is why I haven't been updating the wheels yet (not to mention I still need two tires).
This mess: ![]() I did a test spray of some black plstidip to see how it would take to that area. No, its not going to be black, in fact, all the black is already gone. ![]() And now this is what it looks like; ![]() All sanded smooth and ready for another test dip tomorrow to see if I need to cut it down any further. I placed my order for a gallon of plastidip earlier today; I'll be gtting a can of blue with some white tints to come out with a color similar to this: ![]() And here it is what I'm hoping to accomplish on the wheels. Only in a matte finish. (for now, if I don't like it matte I'll order some glossifier.) ![]() I do also have some other plans regarding my calipers and lug nuts. I'm still open for ideas and suggestions, but I really am liking the idea of white calipers and lugs. I'd be using a G2 gloss white kit for the calipers and order a set of lugs on eBay again; that G2 paint was amazing tough to get off with I took the purple off. I mean I sat there for a good two hours sanding that stuff down to be at least manageable. |
