3G Runner's '04 3G
So, after finally coming back home from deployment, I finally have a chance to make a Member's Ride thread. Plus with the fact I have been waking up for the past 9 months by 0700, I can't sleep past 0730, so I got up and took some pics of my car. Lucky it wasn't raining too hard, stupid Buffalo weather

The 15" stock wheels are a dead giveaway it's a RS.

was thinking the same thing... I was expecting to see something other than a 4x4 set up.
If you don't want to spend a lot of money on wheels right now, look for something used or even the gt stockers

After your wheels I would get the smaller snub antenna thing, whatever its called, to steer from the RC look, Do the Debadge of the RS, and put the oem spoiler on. That would be on my to-do list first, in which they are all inexpensive things. Then I would go to the strut bar, different paint and the lip as you listed.

Actually right now you over 500 miles away. I'll be back in Norfolk in 2 weeks, but I have already paid for the Enkei's.
I do need to find a shorter antenna somewhere. Looks like I know tonight's search is, not like it will be hard to find. |

Alright. So, since I have had some time, I've been putting stuff on my car, and I also decided to lower the back end.. Still waiting for more parts to come in, and I should have the wheels by Wednesday. As long as I avoid the pot holes, I should be good. I will also need a good cleaning at some point. Walked out there today with a yellow film all over it.

Lowering springs with the stock struts :P j/k
I never had the time to finish installing the back end coilovers. I had no problems with the fronts but the rears didn't want to come off. I ended up cutting them off. I wanted to lower the fronts a little more, but they seem stuck in place. Last edited by 3G Runner; 05/23/2011 at 01:04 PM. Reason: Fragment |

It happens. As long as a newb doesn't come along and think that the springs on stock struts is a good idea, it will be all good. |

Today I got rid of the stock wheels. later this week I should have projector headlights with 4300k HID. Hopefully some time next week I will be able to do the disc swap.
I think it's looking good, except for the damn dent in the bumper. Anyone have an idea to get it out? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

that is common on RS's and GS's with static lowering springs (non-coilovers). ALL lowersrpings were designed with the GT's heavier v6 in mind. it is even worse on GS spyders' (hence why i am on coilovers.)

It was the angle of the driveway. It's not flat by any means. After pulling it into the garage, and getting out a tape measure, they are all within 3/8", the passenger front being the highest. But like I said, after I get back to Norfolk I'm going to readjust them.

18x8.0 Enkei RP03 are the wheels.
But I received MOOG end links today, and Smoke front corners I should be receiving my projectors today, so I will install the lights tomorrow. I will be installing the end link hopefully next week. I am also looking at buying Smoke/Red rear corner/back up lights, and Smoke LED 3rd brake light. Also I will be getting a hold of someone to take care of the damn dent in the front.

Alright, I have installed new lights, and took a few pics. I think they look nice.
I kind of want to work on the interior at some point in time. I just don't really know what I want to do with it. ![]() ![]()

I love the sound of the exhaust. It's deep, and somewhat louder. It is expensive though. But, I am happy with it. |

Alright.
So, I installed my endlinks today. Just glad I didn't have to cut them. They were still a bitch to get off. I also found out how much of a pain in the ass it would be to install a new front sway bar, and it may not be a good idea in the end. I wish I would have looked more into that BEFORE I bought it. Oh well. But, I am thinking about buying the Prothane swaybar mount for the stock one. I still need to get the rear corner lights. Will probably order them tomorrow, since I would be doing anything else. ![]() ![]() ![]() I was wondering why I was slipping off the nut for the end links. After I was done with the one side and saw the socket. Did the other side, and saw the other socket. I'll be needing to buy a new 15mm and 5/8" at some point. ![]() This happened when it slipped off at one point. Wrench, Finger, Brake disk. FML

If you want to still steal them go ahead. They don't clear brembo's without spacers it turns out.
But good luck getting them before I leave ![]() As for the update, I started installing the brembo's today. Managed to get the from one's taken care of, but still need to do the back ones. Things just kept going wrong. Murphy's law seems to kick my ass when I do anything with this car other then an oil change, but that changed today. The oil change kicked my ass to. Couldn't get the damn old oil filter off. But a pair of channel locks later, it was off. I'll be working on the rears tomorrow and maybe throw on the side skirts. Should be able to. After that I still need to run the car through a car and get the rest of the salt off the car. Damn NY snow storm the day before I drive back to VA. ![]() Anyways, Put the brembos on, bled the brakes, tightened everything down, tried to put the wheels on, and noticed that it was scraping. So went the autostore down the road and picked up some 8mm spacers. It's all the had in stock that would fit. In the mean time, a couple pics: ![]() ![]() While we were working on the car, our cat was hunting and found a bird to kill. it was tossing it around and playing with it. then the feathers would come off and the cat would chase the feathers. Just something that randomly happened: ![]()

Why are you interested in them? I will only sell if I can get another set that will clear brembos by Tuesday. I'll think about it. However, I am taking the car to Italy, so I won't ship them back to the US because that will just be a lot. I might pick up another set though while I am over there that will clear them. Just have to find one's I like.

So finished getting the brakes installed with the rears. Looks so much better then the rusty drums. When a lot smoother today, didn't have to run the the autoparts store for anything, or a random store that carries metric grade 10.9 bolts. But the wheels to clear the calipers with a problem.
I am also in the market for wheels that will clear Brembo's for the front at very least. Need to look around and find what I like. The one side is a crappy angled pic because i wasn't going to move my car just for the pic and there was a hedge in the way. Oh well. ![]()

Thanks
Well, With a huge thanks to Phil and thahnic1080, I managed to aquire a set of Evo X GSR Wheels. I was going to wait till tomorrow to put them on but said screw it and did it tonight. Tires are 245/40-18, so I'm thinking of swapping my 225/40-18 over since I am rubbing some. I also updated my mod list to be more current. Left a couple things off for when I get a new trinket from Ken. Also I will have some fun with the car If I come back from Italy and I still have the car. Will clean it all up, knock the rust off, and ideally put the turbo in it. but that will be in 2 or 3 years, so no rush there. In the mean time, pics of the new wheels: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
