Lol. After seeing that I need to check my upper arms. I would check the front lca's too. But I hope you work it out man. At least the bushings don't cost too much but yea thats not the point.

Probably not a bad idea for everyone that has done the knuckles and then had their alignment done to do a quick visual check in there. Maybe it will just be something we need to monitor closely for a while. I hope not though.
FYI I have a bit of an update with more bad/good news in this regard in my ride thread, if you're interested. |

I'm pretty sure my passenger CV joint died. I've had a creaking but now it's a clicking/popping with every bump I take. I'm going to look at it later and post pics of what I find.

I checked out everything today while I was under there putting in the corner splash shields I never had. All the bushings are good to go and all the bolts are still torqued right too. Nothing loose. ![]() Flex pipe is definately shot though And here is with the red split loom out of my bay: ![]() Can't wait to get some powder coat under here now ![]() My electrical setup as of my light harness relay install, the 1/0 wire is the only red left, still goes to the T then to the fuses in-line for the alt and audio, the OEM starter wire is still there, the 2 8 wires go into the smaller distribution block with 2 8's going to the fuse box and 1 8 going to the lighting relay (the only way to make it work till I get my optima red top) ![]() Lighting wiring/relay harness ![]() Another view |

It's just insulation to keep it colder I need to finish it lol
So Matt, I checked those nuts and they are tight. To tighten them more spins the whole strut. So it's not that, it's not the prothanes or brakes. It has to be the CV joint(s). My bushings do squeak but not like this. |

Be careful with the amount of insulation you use, doing to much will cause the lines to freeze.

Finally got the TYC tails on, washed and waxed her today after a few months of going without. I also replaced the rear bumper bracket under the trunk so my bumper doesnt vibrate anymore. Pics coming soon
Ordered front left and right CV half shafts, radiator hoses, a clutch master cylinder, and a master engine gasket set from rock auto. I am stoked for the 24th to 26th

Ordered an engine hoist from Harbor Freight to help with the swap
Ordered an optima red top and the small stuff to relocate my battery to the trunk Ordered a new prothane trans mount and will be ordering the flywheel bolts, trans mount studs and pilot bushings from the dealer tomorrow The battery is moving to the trunk for many reasons; 1 to clear out space in my bag for the turbo, 2 to move some weight back there for when undo the AWD swap way down the road and 3 because I want to. The build is till on as planned

Haha nahh I probably won't have enough to get all the rotors, pads, lines, calipers etc in one lump sum so I asked if I could get them in pieces. Also, since my car is pearl white I have a friend who is going to powder coat them pearl white for me

Started my sub enclosure today with the amp rack. The battery clears, the rear strut bar clears. I'll post pics tomorrow. But all I can say is thank God my dad has a wood shop. Without the band saw, table saw, arm saw and the Rigid sander table this would have been impossible. I'll get pics tomorrow, it's dark now

See now I can work with wood. I'll get some pics tomorrow, it was too dark when I called it a day. It fits a lot better than I thought it would, eapecially seeing as how its 3/4" MDF. I still need to cover it in the carpet but im not worried about that as I still need to do the left and right sub enclosures first.

Thanks man. This is the goal:
![]() Mind you it's 3/4" MDF Wood vs. fiberglass. There is a world of difference between the 2 but I am making it work. The sub enclosures will be the same, just wood and to fit with my amp shelf |

And here is the stuff for Thursday:
![]() I have 18ft of 4ga in the mail for the starter run. I will say I love Knukonceptz.com, they're cheap for what you get. And they always over cut the wire. Their products are quality and well made |

I agree. I met the owner a few times when I used to go to car club meets in Northern Ohio. I use his wire and blocks exclusively in my truck, had them for years with no issue.

Overkill seems about right.
When I did mine I just used a distribution block in the engine bay, ran the positive back with the inline fuse at the battery and grounded it under the back seat. Cranks, lights, power everything is all as good as stock if not better. How are you doing yours?

1/0 power and ground to the trunk. The power will be to a distribution block going to my alt, fuse box and headlight relay, the ground is going to the factory point. The starter will have its own 4ga run to the battery in the trunk. The battery and amps will be grounded to the trunk in a dual termination block by kicker. Inline fused for everything. The terminals a Knukonceptz compression fitting style. The battery will be mounted inside that amp enclosure I just made.
