I'm the first 3G 6G72 5 speed AT full-time AWD Eclipse in Europe with Air Suspension and automatic climate control
I'm very love making extraordinary projects, and this Eclipse is my first, hope, not the last! I'm always keep this topic updated with new ideas, information and photos.


I'm please to stop asking "how-to" manuals, cause of you can find all the information by your own self with the Google! Just try to make your own research, it's easier than it looks!

Mods, in progress:
Custom headlights with headlight washers.
New all-leather interior

Future mods:
-Multi-coil ignition
-6G75 MIVEC swap

Finished mods:
Interior:
-Carbon dash kit,
-Carbon armholder,
-Carbon door sills,
-Custom leather wrapped elements,
-Custom floor mats,
-Custom shift-boot for AT,
-Custom white illumination (dash, floor, doors, trunk, buttons and gloveboxes)
-Full noise insulation of cabin and trunk
-Sickspeed ultra-loud horns
-Custom climate control panel

Exterior:
-Wing West lip kit (full)
-G4 R17 OEM rims
-3/4 inch wheel spacers for air suspension.
-Bridgestone IceCruiser 7000 / Toyo T1-Sport 215/50
-Altezza tail light (will be modded to LED soon)
-Dual Halo Sonar headlight with HID 4300K
-Smoke turn-lights for front
-Smoke backlights for rear with 6000K HID in rear light
-Stainless steel chrome door handle covers
-Keyhole for trunk replaced with button (active when alarm is off)
-Aluminum fuel lid

Performance:
-Fulltime AWD with 5 speed AT.
-315mm front Brembo brake rotors with 2 piston support (versus 276 mm oem).
-286mm rear brake rotors (versus 256mm oem)
-Custom Air Suspension, with automatic controller.
-Mishimoto aluminum racing radiator
-Mishimoto 14" fans for engine and condenser
-Mishimoto 7" automatic transmission cooler fan
-Oil thermostat for transmission radiator (in winter we can have about -20 F)
-OBX coolant silicone red hoses
-Big AT radiator oil with temp. sensor
-52mm gauges for oils and temps + AEM A/F gauge for logging
-Walbro Pump 255 l\h + with rewire kit
-Aeromotive A1000 fuel pressure regulator
-Intake: HKS 200mm filter with custom heat-shield and custom air-duct
-Custom exhaust headers 3-2-1 outlet diameter is 2.25".
-Magnaflow Muffler
-Prothane Engine Mounts (for front and rear mounts)
-Ingalls Stiffy Torque Damper
-VISION spark plug wires (red)

Audio:
-Sony XAV-741 (2DIN) - Pioneer is sold.
-Rockford Fosgate T3652-S acoustic for front
-Rockford Fosgate T1692 acoustic for rear
-Rockford Fosgate P3D410 subwoofer with custom installation into driver side rear fender.
-Rockford Fosgate P400-2 amplifier
-Rockford Fosgate P300-1 amplifier
-Rockford Fosgate 1F capacitor
-Aircraft grade power wires


Battery relocated to trunk with 1GA cable (more space for future mods)
Deleted: EGR, Catalytic Convertor, EVAP, downstream o2 sensors
Custom ECU firmware changes for ignition, fuel and etc...

ALL NEW ENGINE SENSORS AND ELECTRONICS (02, knock-sensor, distributor, injectors crankshaft sensor, iac, and etc)

not feeling the chrome door handles. Whats the need for a 255 fuel pump?

thahnic1080, Walbro is for NOS and as replacement for old pump (car is 2001 year manufacturing), I'm making direct port nitrous.

Chad, yeah, chrome is not looking good there... I'll fix it after winter - It will be gloss black. (rims & door handles)
About the headlights... This one was about 300$ for me with delivery to Russian, and I can't change the headlights every quarter. I'm thinking about installing lens modules, into custom frame... But this solution is not meeting our weather conditions...

Got Rice Boy,

AEM A/F Ratio (for datalogging)
Oil temp. gauge for AT (I got 2 transmission failed, but now - I won't!)
Fuel Press. gauge (that for interior more now), than it will be for NOS

Oil press. gauge for Engine (I plan to make custom dashboard, and remove OEM indicators)
Oil temp. gauge for Engine (no functional data, I will replace it maybe)
Coolant temp. gauge (OEM temp. gauge cluster is failed - so I bought this)

I like how your license plate is like crumpled there . Nice clean look minus the chrome handles.

I see, shipping to other countries can cost a bit. I suggest looking into retrofitting then. But it will cost about the same in parts/shipping as well I'm assuming. Either way I'm glad you're planning on changing it up

I can't stay car good-looking (I'm talking about front lip) while we have very high borders at street (it can be up to 20-25cm), and low-quality roads (because of our government is laundering money, and making awful roads, that are rebuilding every 1-2 years), and snow height was also about 20 cm in the middle of December, so I decided to install it on spring.
So there are low-quality road-maintenance (laundering money). I'm really want to drop off my car, and use this lip-kit 365 days in year, but it will be very expensive to stay it well-painted and unharmed

Winter variant - yes, it's OEM of 4G.

Have installed Diamante climate control panel.
Just select the temperature and AUTO mode, and it will keep the temperature constant.

That's cause of it's first for 3G
Custom panel to fit the climate panel (it's bigger than 1DIN), custom wiring, custom installation for stepper-motors and etc. Also I've installed white LED backlight for this.

New steering wheel (I'm making controller for all buttons):
paddle shifters (sport mode on the steering wheel)
cruise control (as on eclipse, but more friendly to use)
volume, track, mute, src, call/reject (for my Pioneer)

This wheel is absolutely identical in dimensions with our factory (diameter, thickness and depth).
The CAMARO badge will be replaced with ECLIPSE, as soon as I will found where I can order or buy it

Anyway - it's more functional and better look than OEM one (I have 2001 - so there was no buttons at all - just horn)

Rear knuckles with AWD wheel hubs and 284mm rear brakes:

Also I have prothane bushings for arms, knuckles, subframe and differential.
Photos of installation of this will be on next week.

Yes, I'm 6g72 now with minor mods for firmware, and low compression in 4th cylinder...
I'm currently searching the engine for 6G75 swap, I plan to install AWD transmission from Endeavor W4A5A-4-T1ZE ~1500$. Now I'm searching for engine, I want to buy MIVEC one, but in Russia I can find just the Endeavor non-MIVEC 6g75 for about ~3000$. And about 5000$ for eclipse MIVEC for special order and 2 month delay... Mad prices
So now I'm searching for 2000-3000 $ for MIVEC engine.

Car is also waiting for the hood pins (and new paint) for my VIS hood (evo-style):

Main roads in winter/spring are in very bad condition, so the full-time AWD making the car more safety.

AWD fuel tank installed and connected to the stock wiring (Evaporative valve and system in global were disabled in the ECU).
Rear AWD subframe, suspension (were installed from Eclipse - all arms), stabilizer (from AWD with prothane bushings), rear differential with 3.312 ratio installed
Rear brakes with 284mm rotors installed

Tomorrow I will finish the exhaust and will be ready for the test drive.

Rear AWD suspension is tested today, all is great, waiting for the propeller shaft and AWD transmission, and I will continue my swap with the front subframe custom works.

My build will be automatic transmission. It's first AWD 6G7* Eclipse on my continent, as I know
Pep (in Canada) is finishing same project 3.8 AWD 3G.

Connected Camaro Steering wheel with my Pioneer via AXXESS ASWC controller, changed the internals of cruise control to be working with my wheel, and already done paddle shifters to be working with my AT.
I also changed the backlight color of the Camaro buttons.

there're minor exterior changes, now I'm collecting parts for rebuilding propellershaft, for rebuilding rear differential and seal kits. And waiting for air bags for rear suspension.

Rear custom height air suspension will be ready in August-September-October. I also plan to finish my AWD swap in October-November. There are some difficults with the front subframe in AWD, cause it's made from Aluminum and can be welded just with special equipment, using Argon gas. So now I'm searching people, who ready to help me with this project. Also I'm waiting the photos of Pep AWD build, hope it will make my AWD built faster to complete.
