New to Club3G! here's my GS :) - Club3G Forum : Mitsubishi Eclipse 3G Forums

So i bought my first eclipse about 7 months ago,i have a 2000 GS 5-speed and i love it! i have slowly workedmon the exterior since i got it and
now i think i am ready to show it off(:still a work in progress but want to see
what opinions may have as i go on with it..
the pictures will be in order from oldest to the most recent
which was taken today =D

UPDATE: went wingless(:

START: when I first got her in november 2011

Before i made my roof panoramic!

After!

A zoomed in crop of a picture taken from far away lol

After installing my Grill with my custom made mitsubishi emblem(:

Cleaned the wheels and blacked out my mitsubishi emblem(:

And i took this picture of it as i walked inside earlier today!

Looks clean so far, just get the HID's out of the stock housing. Watch as everyone on the forum will come to tell you the same thing.

Reason Why: It's very blinding to oncoming driver's. I suggest getting some new headlight's, such as Depo's or Sonar's.

I like the grill, but, repairing those dents should have been your first concern. Also was that 2g repainted or am I just seeing things?

Not liking the emblem on the grill, or the lights. Besides that it isn't bad. I would try to refill and paint the back end though again.

Thanks so much for the quick replies at this time!! And for the welcome! I am trying to figure out what to fill the triangle with lol 2 emblems seems wierd lol and Ohh that's why I kept reading about people saying that I was so confused lol I have been thinking of getting projector headlights but the ones I see are pre-wired and I want to use my h4 hid set up I have right now :/ thanks again guys

Yeah I know the dent should have been first lol but I keep putting it off.. I am definitely gonna look into it lol. And yeah that 2G was repainted! Good eyes man!

No problem dude, it's what we are here for.

If you want to fix the body you can bondo it yourself of just ask a body shop to do it, but the latter is more expensive.

Once you finish the bodywork I recommend a drop, our 3G's have horrible wheel gap

Yeah I am gonna get the job priced or do it myself lol and I was actually looking at lowering springs earlier today, the wheel gap is terrible lol i started seeing people talk about chamber kits and I lost track I'm still a little confused about that lol I was thinking dropping it 2 inches front and back

A simple drop would be getting the best combo, the KYB AGX Shock's + Pro-Kit/Sportline's. Putting aftermarket springs on stock strut's is a

Unless you want to invest on some coil overs.

NOT a POS lol it looks great man nice rims and lights! I wanna buy depo type or projector type headlights that work with a h4 hid kit. Ya know? On that isnt one you wire up and it already has lights installed.

Mine is a plug and play, they're bulb size is H1. Im not sure which aftermarket headlight's are H4

Pics from inside of the panoramic? That would be pretty cool. I'm guessing you changed it to glass, but it kind of looks like it's painted black... Did you tint < 5%?

It is 3M vinyl not actual glass! That would be insane.. Lol and H4 is the size bulb that comes in the eclipse from factory... So I just got a an HID kit for that bulb size.

If you do then try to get coilovers. I was looking at spring + strut combos, but it seems most people move on to coils after.

The prices are pretty high, but you pay for what you get.

Thanks dude! Yeah it is very beautiful here. I have lived here all my life (20 years) and its fun to visit and all but gets very boring!!! Lol no night scene unless your in key west and even then it's the same stuff over and over. Lol do you live far from here?

Haha ya got me! Nah I haven't :/ it was quoted for 1,500 to fix becuase i also need a new bunper...so I am a little iffy on it :/

What key do you live on? My wife and I were down there 2 years ago for a week. We flew into Miami and drove down to Key West for the week but stopped at Bahia Honda State Park and Key Largo on the way down. Very beautiful down there, we are planning to go back next year in June for a business trip.

Yeah that makes sense since you're on small islands. Key West is where we went. We randomly decided to drive to Key West for a day. The Overseas Highway was an amazing drive for me. I loved it. The beach had nice, soft sand. And the weather was perfect! We got some Key Lime Pie and called it a day

I hope to visit again someday for sure.
And no I don't live close at all, I live all the way in Idaho

I went on a cross country road trip to Miami to visit my best friend going to FIU.
Got there in 42 hours

The only 19s I have seen work on this platform are XXR 522s, Stern S somethings (Kidkobe has them), and probably a concave or deep dish wheel
