Hmm it's definitely different. I feel like the black on the doors work, but not a fan of the front bumper and pinstripes. The lights and wheels look good. Overall, pretty decent job. It looks clean.

yea I wasn't that sure about the front bumper when i was doing the drawings but any other striping patter would break the natural lines of the car, its all plasti dip so i can remove it any day! lol

![]() ![]() these were taken before doing all the exterior work, the interior is completely stock besides the shift knob and a red switch I had to wire to the horn because the horn on the steering wheel doesn't work (you can see it in the first pic) lol |

While a weird approach, it's good seeing something different.

The doors look great. I am pretty sure that I would have done the bumper in reverse order (bottom with grill and fogs) in black, continued it down the side skirts, and then had a custom CF diffuser made. The black on the trunk looks awkward for some reason.

i give you credit for trying something different. I dont think anybody has tried that paint scheme. But in my opinion it looks like shit.
Lose the decepticon badges too they look silly. |

I can get past the stripe. But the bumper and trunk lid look like shit. I don't know why people think painting that portion of the 03 bumper is a good idea. Interior is clean at least.

I did this just to see how it would look, I've done many designs to it already, on whatever I end up liking best I'm going to get the whole car painted again. It would be dumb to waste money and repainting the car various times.

You showed it off because you were proud of it and the way it looks. If you did it for just you to see then you wouldn't of posted it online. If you like it be proud of it and don't try to come up with excuses. Honestly I think it looks like shit.

Yea Im proud of it, never said I wasn't. I just don't like to throw money away re painting my car if I ever want to change striping. Thanks for the input though just trying something different instead of the common full blacked out eclipse or lip kit with grill part black.

What I like:
Front corners Yellow Fogs What I'm OK with: Plasti-coated wheels. As long as its temporary and you eventually upgrade to better wheels. Pin-striping. What I don't like: Pretty much everything else. You have too many different color lights going on up front. There is too much blue in your headlights/HID and it doesn't compliment the amber turns or yellow fogs at all. I'd disconnect the halo's (because really, halos only belong on BMW's) and trade in that 6k HID for a 4300K to get a purer white light. I don't like the coated rear quarter windows. I think you made the already bad blind spots on this car even worse. Ditch the vinyl work. The pin-stripe is subtle enough to make a visual difference without being overbearing. Less is more. No details on your cat-back but it looks like it points down?? Maybe it's just the angle of the pic. And you need a short shifter something fierce. |

If you need anything for the Eclipse, let me know. I have been dying to put together a turbocharger and big brake (I don't fuck around) kit for the 3G. I have some other things that I want to try, as well. |

Also, I have a set of grey powder-coated Evolution X GSR wheels, if you are interested. I have a couple of ideas on how to bring this whole paint scheme together. The front and rear are the problem.

Yea the wheels are temporary, in the future Im gonna get larger rims with more offset so i can do the swap for the evo brakes. Im not gonna color match the mirrors because after I settle on a striping pattern im going to get it painted so they match the gloss of the side mirrors. I was debating on the 6000ks top because I was looking for pure white and thought 4300 was too stock since that's OEM HIDs. Thanks for the input though I appreciate it.

$450 picked up. They are good quality Enkei wheels. You could easily track the car with them on. Plus, if you troll around on local forums, you can sometimes find a set of STi Dunlop SP600 tires (245/40/18) basically new for really cheap, which are perfect for these wheels.
