Why does everyone choose that fugly ass bumper. Looks retarded as hell. Buy some OEM bumpers and it would look ten times better.

The red looks nice. I know what you mean about rusted bolts, I live in MO. The whole underside of the car is rust orange.
The baby blue does clash a little bit, but not that bad. The body kit isn't too awful.

Lol, I never realized that

@ JPat94

Lol, thanks! Lucky thing for me is it was just the bolts that were rusted. Everything else was okay, probably because the car was stored for most of the time

Since you don't have mostly OEM body part's, why not do an aftermarket wing as well?

Like a falcon, or V-line,

Lucky you, haha. The previous owner of my car lived in the city, no garage storage, just the street. Naturally sitting in the elements messed with it a bit.

I was considering VIS's Carbon Fiber spoiler along with the CF Hatch, but just decided to go wingless if I ever buy the Hatch.

Not yet. When I changed my oil a few months ago I realized just how rusty it was under the car. I'm sure when I get a new exhaust system it's going to be a huge pain to get those bolts out...

You did put a lot of work on the car, I respect that. But you should've painted the engine bay like red or black. Even though it's not my taste too on the body kit and the red wiper arms, it's your car. At least your future plans are good.

Hahaha! That's terrible. The STL police can be real A-holes. I had a liscense plate cover on my car and got ticketed for it. No warning or anything. I had been pulled over two times before (dealer tags, no front plate) and no officer had mentioned it was "illegal" to have one on.

$1,200. I bought it from a nice friend who had a nice shiny Camaro to replace it with.

Thanks, I originally had plans for a 3.5L swap (and to powdercoat that red), but the engine turned out to be .

Eh, I don't think it looks that bad. And MONTEREY blue. There's a difference!

Lol, his 370Z came factory Monterey, we were just redoing rock chips and bumper scratches.

how are your racing harnesses attached? Are they mounted in 2 different spots for the shoulders?

Yeah, I tried being as safe as possible, so with 2 mounting positions, there's a failsafe. They're mounted on the front and rear upper factory seat belt mounts (so it should be pretty sturdy). Also, the angle is decent as well.

The two lap belts are also mounted in different positions. One on the front lower factory seat belt mount, and the other on the rear lower mount.

ummmm thats not safe at all. Research how to properly mount a harness before you compress your spine

I read the harnesses will kill you thread and it seems that the problem comes from the low angle of the shoulder strap mounts. My outer strap is mounted in the factory position, so that should be okay. The inner strap is mounted at the same angle as a harness bar, without the chance of me busting my skull open on a harness bar. Outer lap belt is mounted at factory point, and the inner is secured and not contacting anything that could break or snap, causing the belt to slacken.

I'm guessing I'm missing something, could you explain it please?

I love the body-kit. It fits perfectly. It flows with the car, really well. The blue in the engine bay is phenomenal, as well. It brings the whole thing together.

The only thing I see truly going well with the exterior is it has had a paint job and the TYC tails. The skirts from this kit look as if you had the car entwined with a mustang. The baby blue under the hood doesn't match anything with the car. It's like a girl telling a man he doesn't know how to match his clothes. Good luck on the future mods.

Screw the 74 and the Ripp SDS. Unless you pair the two you won't make more power then a 6g75 in bolt up form. If you put the same money into a 6g75 that you would putting an SDS on the 6g74 you could make 300whp NA... Sooooo. Yeah.

That's an aggressive exterior.

Thanks, and the reason I was going for the 6g74 is because those are more common around here. Also, I've only read up on the 6g74 swap, and the only person who can help me (or is willing to help me with the whole swap) is familiar with only the 6g74. If the 6g75 was easier to find, then we could probably do some reading and figure out that swap. From what I've heard though, the 6g75 requires a whole lot more parts swapped along with it, and from what I've read, it seems to still be in it's developing stage, with a few kinks. Thanks for the info, and when the time comes for a swap, I'll look into the 6g75.

As soon as I saw the post on Socal3g, I went and asked for the day off. My manager started laughing, and then I figured out it's a Saturday

I like the color. Not a fan of the body kit, that's for sure. Just a simple suggestion, you should paint match those calipers to the exterior paint. The different tone of red doesn't look as good as it would color matched. And do you have any plans for those door panels? The tan panels don't fit in now.

Ahh the body kit hate

I tried to paint the calipers R70 (Patriot Red), but I'm guessing the paint couldn't take the heat. Do you know where I can get high temp custom paint?

I was planning to either paint the tan gray to match the seats, or switch out to black panels if anybody was selling some in good condition for a reasonable price.

LOL. I'm gonna have to call coincidence on this one. I got it stock last year from a family friend who is definitely XY. And his Dad had it before him, and we both got our licenses 2010+ (me, 2011).

I'll try to find pictures of when I first got the car

In fact, I remember making a time lapse video of the build and everything, I'll see if I can find that too.

Face it, you got caught. There is no way those are 2 different cars. Say what you want the only way you will get out of this is if you post pics of your car next to this one.

Why lie? I don't get it. Putting that kit on yourself over buying it like that does not make it cooler. In fact it's worse as you are not unfortunately stuck with the horrendous wind sail on your front, but you did it yourself.
