Hey everyone, I had to trade in the old 3G

But id consider the Scion tC an upgrade because its in decent shape and has some real potential. Its a one owner with only 87k miles on it. The previous owner took decent care of it, plus I get some free mods!!!!

-Injen Polished Cold Air Intake.
-Front Strut Tie Bar by Hotchkis Tuning
-Eclipse TouchScreen w/ DVD and CD player
-Blue interior LED's from SuperBrightLEDs.com
-TYC LED Tail Lights
-S2K Shorty Antenna
-08+ OEM Projector Headlights
-35% Tint on sides and 20% in Rear.

Thanks! and yeah they are a little hazy. I will probably just get some nice aftermarket ones around Christmas time, but ill make them look nice until that happens.

It was only 10k minus my trade in at 2k. So around 8k with a few other things. I financed it, but my payment is still pretty affordable.

Not a bad looking TC1 man. Join clubsciontc and scionlife. There are a lot of parts going up for sale on these bad boys. Plus you can make it look really good

Well since my eclipse was old as hell and was about to break down. Plus add in the fact that my only affordable options as a college student were some shitty used colbalts or this...

Id love to get an Evo, hell even like a Lancer GTS or something but thats not realistic given my financial situation.

Options vs Options, Interior space, trunk space etc. The TC really is an upgrade comparing to a 10 year old Eclipse.....Performance may no match up to the Gt Eclipse but sadly the TC isn't that far off from it lol

Don't know where you get that is isn't an upgrade.

Not everyone can afford a Z or G35 right now. I went through 2 3G's, A 2G Stratus coupe and 8G Galant before I was to the point that I could afford my G35 sedan.

Op - Nice car. Get some new headlights and tint those windows and that will be a perfectly clean looking car. Remember, retro-fit before rice lights

I dont know what year ur eclipse is .. i was just talking in general when u get to compare eclipse's with Tc's .. and the plastic grille thing is held on by zip ties and really looks cheap lol. My hope is to eventually get like a grillecraft or something, idk im still looking. Those tC's are really clean! Id like to get a spoiler some where down the line. I was leaning towards like a rear lip spoiler or one similar to the stock ones. (eg enough to make it look good, but not a park bench

)

For now ill just be saving and recouping my money from the sale. So its gonna stay like it is unless i find a really good deal on something I like.

The one with the polished trunk is my favorite too, but you can't go wrong if you model yours after any of those beauties.

It still has the oem grill, it just has a insert over it using zipties.

Just keep using good oil and change the chain tensioner around 100K. I see many of these through the shop that use cheap oil and have lots of chain rattle every startup as well as leaky valve seals. BIG puff of smoke when they start.

You should make a wish list and number it from highest priority to lowest

also may I recommend getting this HKS Hi-Power Exhaust: Scion tC 2005 - 2010

its the same exhaust my buddy has for his 06 along with an Injen CAI and DC headers, thing sounds pretty mean

Well the ebay poster removed the TYC's becuase they were at $45 with about a day left on the auction. Stupid, but at the same time understandable.

Now im thinking about these, Opinions?

Not really an update, but I've finally figured out my plans for my car.

Basically:
Front and Rear lip kit For sure (Unsure about Side-skirts atm)
Rear lip spoiler
Window Tint
Lowered
Maybe replace the Headlights

This is going to be my inspiration, and those above:

Sales tax and my first payment are due at the end of the month, so I wont be buying anything yet. Keep in my it is my DD. Thoughts? Opinions?

I LOVE that color.

Basically: Front and Rear lip kit For sure (Unsure about Side-skirts atm) Rear lip spoiler Window Tint Lowered Maybe replace the Headlights This is going to be my inspiration, and those above: Sales tax and my first payment are due at the end of the month, so I wont be buying anything yet. Keep in my it is my DD. Thoughts? Opinions?
