Few more updates.

Shocks for the rear bumper came in so tomorrow after work or sunday I will work on fitting/modifying the rear bumper.

Also forgot to picture that I picked up another windshield wiper motor from the yards a few days ago as they like to go bad/ frequently needed.

Now the craziest deal that I have probably ever come across. Re-Upholstered Vinyl Drivers and Passengers Seats in almost perfect condition for $10. Offered to give the guy $20 and he wouldn't take it. I'm very grateful for people like that. I will see how much it will be to get the rear bench seat done to match and I will sell the houndstooth seats.

Craigslist

Also found a good deal on a brand new z4m short shifter so I jumped on it.

I have a question for the audio experts here. I'll be running HIDS, a simple deck, and 2 x 6x9s. Do I need a optima yellow top or would a red top be fine?

I run an air horn, HID's, Fogs, aftermakert head unit, and some bright LED lights AS WELL as the rest of the stock bulbs...from an 80 amp alternator. You will be fine, battery plays little role when driving unless you're drawing more than the alt can provide at which point you'll notice it when your lights dim. Big battery is more for long storage times without a float charger or if you're running things when hard parking.

No updates lately as I'm trying to get the daily XJ running and up for its daily duties. It's a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4, single owner 140k miles beautiful body and seems mechanically sound so far. Paid $700 and it needs a new windshield, new tires, and a few other things. I have already replaced the oil pump that would cause the oil pressure light to come on every once in a while. (common problem)

As far as the E30 goes, new dash will be picked up sometime this weekend and then it will sit on the back burner for a little while. Working on getting some GTMAT as I have heard great things about it as well.

I know about them Raman, thanks though

Updates:

Found these at the junkyard brand new in the trunk of a 325es $3 for OEM

Various Seals

Z4M Shifter, Timing Belt, Tensioner, Alarm

Finally got the correct ODO

Spare E Harness and an I harness for the head swap

Crackfree Dash

How she sits currently.

Here are some pictures of the $800 Jeep

I will be restoring the plastic pieces sometime soon and buffing/polishing it. Jeep just needs tires and maybe a windshield which has a small hairline crack in it. It also needed a oil pump, which has been replaced. (PITA btw)

Daily for the winter, might sell it in the spring and get something better on gas. Most likely I'll keep it though as i'm putting in around 700-800 dollars into it.

UPDATE!

Euro Grills

USDM Grills on the left and EDM grills on the right

Hella Euro Smiley Projector Headlights

Free Euro clock he threw in

Just placed on there, not mounted yet. I still need to paint the kidney's trim black.

I'll also be painting the trim rings on the Smilies black to make the "evil" look flow. I decided not to go with the black depo headlights like I originally planned because these have a much better output/cutoff.

This is coming along nice. I'm not quite sure I see any differences between the grills. Are the EDM darker and have a screw hole inbetween the lights?

This is what the front end will look like when completed. But instead of the Is lip at the bottom I want just an I lip like the one below.

Do it. Btw, what do you know about air to waiter intercoolers? I'm really thinking about taking that route for the E30.

I think i'm going to do just black for now. If I get the Brembos (when I get them on) powdered red then the lug nuts will match. Unsure for now. So much fab work, so little time.

Yea, not bad. I think they're aluminum housings though so the threads don't hold up as well as KW's or BC's with steel bodies.

Changed my mind on the used D2's will be purchasing new coils instead. The guy was being sketchy about the shipping. they were "shipped", then he didn't have them boxed, then he said he would ship them out in 2 weeks. I just asked for a refund and got it.

According to a vendor the D2 coils are 4mm bigger housings and have a3 year warranty. Rebuild is only $200+ shipping, so I believe I will be going with d2's as opposed to the BC's I highly favored. Also, I found a good deal on a skid plate.

Motor

Reason car was totalled.

Got to work right away. Rear wheel, bumper, fender, hood, and drivers side door removed.

Radiator support removed

My baby sticking her head out of the corner with the euro grills and smiley headlights.

I removed the rear left wheel where the impact was and the differential is still good! Everything is good except the actual subframe, wheel, and axle.

What I will be using; (so far)
Motor
Tranny
Motor Harness
Radiator (maybe)
Driveshaft
Differential

What kind of gas are you planning on using? 11.5:1 is the borderline between a REALLY nice pump tune and requiring E85 and that's naturally aspirated.

It's got VANOS so tuning it to run fine on pump gas will be fine. Valve timing, ignition timing, and fuel maps give you a pretty large sandbox to play in.

93. I don't really have any other options as e85 isn't readily available anywhere else. The car is already fully tuned and most likely won't need a retune as I'm dropping the entire drive train including ecu directly into the e30. Only thing that might change will be the exhaust from the super sprint exhaust as its extremely heavy.

Ordered E34 oil pan w/ oil pick up, dipstick and all gaskets for the swap. Also ordered morimoto ballasts + bulbs on black friday because they were having a sale. I still need a smaller brake booster, motor mounts, and every bushing that I can find lol.

You might as well get some Mini H1's to fit in there too since the halogens won't have the proper optics.
