So my headlights were pretty bad, the black plastic Is all broken inside I decided to try and fix them, first thing I did was apply toothpaste in small circles on the lens with a sponge and small amount of water then let dry, after buffed out with water then wiped clean, finally use a rubbing compound to get that glass look!!!

Now that's done I need to open them to get all the broken plastic out so I preheated the oven to 275, put in for 5 mins they open right up.....
Well since im removing the black plastic the bulb housing which is gray and looks out of place would be showing so I tape it off and painted black

Put back together and this what I got

Very nice improvement over what you started off with, but it all takes time.

I agree, I would have left out the OEM heads, and just put a nice set of projectors in.

Well I received my carbon fiber vinyl for door handle clips thanks to RYNE, so here my little how to....

Well you need scissor, and a lighter make sure your hands are really clean
First thing I did was size it up, after that I cut tiny strips at the top so I could fit the shape the vinyl has zero stretch so you have to really work with it

Start to form the vinyl to the clip

Take your time u want It to look good after you have it wrapped take a lighter and heat up the vinyl on the back up the clip so that it shrinks to the clip and makes it nice and tight

When ur done it should look something like this

Looks fantastic even though this is a different approach than the one I took. I heated the whole piece of vinyl with a blow dryer, it becomes extremely pliable and soft. Stretch the material as much as you can and pull it over the clip cover. It won't be perfect yet, heat the corners and imperfections and pull. Once it is pulled tight cut the excess. Glue can be added to the back for extra security, but is not necessary.

Car looks great with the new paint... And the new door handle caps of course!

Laugh all you want. That is pure profit. and only a silly goose would say no.

In fact, to show you that I'm a serious buyer and class-act business man, I will offer you a whopping $20. That's right, a Jefferson.

That means your life just improved by 6 McChickens, and your still in the green. Don't even think about it, just do it.

Should have used a little heat on that CF overlay, would have helped out a lot more than cutting.

The paint turned out nicely. Looks much better with the dark tails compared to the chrome.

Those look just like the Depo's .. Hmm.. Did the previous owner trim the weather stripping around the hood portion of the lights? I swear mine have an abundant amount and with my current defect (frame dmg) it just sticks above the hood and looks hideous!

Kevin Knight : who are you?
Car looks really good! Great paint job at a great price. Thanks for posting the before pics of the car cause I had been searching for ever to see a car with the six directionals. I don't know why everyone dislikes the look, or the stock 00-02 bumper either for that matter. I'm getting ready to install the six clears on my new bumper as the future paint job will be black on top and silver from the middle down with no badges like yours. By any chance did you also have the Mitsubishi lettering removed as well? If you still have that old bumper could you please post some pics of the inside of it and how the guy cut it up? Can't wait to see what else you do with the car.

Kevin
