hey guys i have been following the website for a few months now, and i finally decided to join!!! im really excited to start my 3g eclipse project and show my progress along the way, but i am a noob at all this so try to take it easy on me lol also i live in the nashville tn area and would like to get a 3g group going here so let me know if you know anything!!! thanks for the help guys

the blinkers work with all 3 lights on both sides.... changing the bulbs to red leds soon

Red bulbs? Do you want to get pulled over? That would constitute impersonation of law enforcement vehicles. I suggest not to do it.

AloT of people have demon eyes around here in tn, but I cant rid of the extra makers until I get a new bumper because the guy I bought the car from cut into the bumper to install them but I'm going to replace the bumper soon when I get it painted soooo I can do it then.... but it looks cool when the headlight are on

As long as they are flashing there shouldn't be a problem, especially if you also add some flashing blue as well.

Seriously though, red lights are a no-no.

Ok I gotcha do u think 03 bumper looks better than the 2000 because I'm buying a new one

some lightly-tinted/dechromed turn signals would look much better there. what really makes those look so bad is the pale-white against the rest of the car.

they still look tacky in their stock form with the chrome on the outer edge, but it's nothing a little oven cleaner can't take care of:

actually, i've grown tired of the half-chrome look, and really want to pull them apart and dechrome the rest of it, just haven't felt like it...

I think the 03 bumper looks better if you get a lip kit, but if it was me and i didn't want to spend the money id take the extra turn signals off and make a grill kit since someone already cut them out..

Well I already have the money saved up for new bumper and paint but also we don't have to have a front L. Plate here in tn sooo

i cut the housings open and masked off the chrome parts i wanted to keep, but if you want the entire thing black, i think you can just spray some in the bulb opening and slosh it around.

it shouldn't take anymore then a hour to do..

right now i keep a towel on the dash to protect from more cracking but plan getting one of glue on dash covers

also have 10'' memphis audio in vented box and 750 watt pioneer amp

Depends on what you want to do lowering wise. grfft3r is selling his spring/strut combo for like $500 with only a couple thousand miles on them. If you plan on keeping the car and want to lower it a good bit, go with coilovers. They're roughly $900 to your door for either BC/Megan. If you're concerned about money (which it sounds like) I wouldn't even bother considering JIC's or KW's (their both well over a grand)

That being said, with the right wheel/lowering combo you can have a nice stance on springs/struts. But it's much easier with Coilovers.

thanks yea, i would like to spend no more than 1000 dollars lowering it but heard coilovers are the way to go so that what i probably go with

No problem. Make sure you research a rear camber kit if you do decide to go with coilovers. There's a how-to in the garage.

^good paint jobs take prep work, typical rattlecan work has 0 prep, so it starts to flake off in a matter of months.

No Actual I car spray paint I've painted before the bar was completely sanded down them cleaned with mineral spirits after that I applied one 15 min coat at a time then will wet sand then 3 clear coats it will hold up

The catalyst in rattle cans isn't strong enough to withstand like an actual batch mixed and sprayed through a spray gun.

Well I was going to paint it red but after I painted it white I took it out to the car and installed it and fell in love to each he's own
