My $450 Beater 2001 Eclipse Spider
Purchased this car on 1-1-13 for $400 and spent $50 having it towed back to the house. Didn't run.
Got this car non running, the key would turn in the ignition but nothing came on. Fixed the ignition fuse under the hood and fired it up. Someone busted out the passenger side glass and stole the radio. Selling this turd for $975 in a day for some quick money. Anyhow, this is my story. Like these cars, to bad the previous owner beat the crap out of it. VT247 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ummm... Seems kinda stupid to make an account for a car you plan to flip.

My goal was to sell the car for twice what I had in it in a day (24 hours). $450 for a days work ain't bad. It was great!
Car was located in Muncie, IN Craigslist but without a picture. Just down the road from my house. So I called the guy who had it for sale. Said it didn't run, that he had originally tried selling it for $1200 to a guy. Said person takes the car out for a test drive and walks back. Said it died but still wanted it, for 1/2 price. Seller said u what'd you do to my car? No sale. He relists it and I talk him down to $400 cash. In Indiana, all you have to do is sign off on the back of the title and it's yours. I.E. Clear Title. No trip needed to the DMV (department of motor vehicles) to resell. Whoever buys the car or wants to title / register it needs to sign off on the back of the title then go to the DMV. Making for an easy sale for me. Nice thing about Indiana, you can title up to 12 cars in a year before needing a dealers license as well. So, in all, I had a great New Years Day! Can also say I've owned one of these. Nice cars. VT247 |
