Clean, elegant but the rims look small, you did an excellent job keeping it sleeperish for sure.
You have a lot of Autometer on your wishlist, are you going with those because of cost or what?

Any suggestion for any other company that makes guages....?Yeah the wheels are only 17x7... but I don't want too much rotational mass, also rather have more sidewall on the tire to reduce wheel hop. Maybe get some 18x7's in the future.

Seeing as how you have a lot of money invested into your car, you should look into getting some decent racing rims to go along with it. My favorite are Volks. RRE recommends using 17x7 for handling and sidewall purposes of course, which is fine. But you could always save your 17x7 for the track and 18x7.5 for the street.

nice ride. sucks you gotta storage it
as per the guages, I never had issues with Autometer. I never believed the "hype" that you had to pay $300 for a guage that does the same thing a $70 one does. I even tested my guages (boost, fuel & oil) with shop tools the electric senders for autometer fuel and oil, and both were in check. The only shops I ever heard that trash autometer are ones that want you to give them more money for Apexi or Greddy. Dont waste money unless you are one of those guys that have to put funky expesive stuff in a car to sound cool. my opinion and experiences.

I see your point Shane, after searching around and looking around for a while, mechanical guages will be a lot cheaper and show the same #'s with the same accuracy. For 200 bucks I can 3 guages instead of one, I will just go that route. |

I will be changing out the hood. Since this VIS one is cracking. So I will want to get a Seibon one. So whenever I get that one it will get painted. As for the grill I have been debating it. Dunno, this car will be used more for drag racing than show, but we will see. |

Kris I'm glad to see the LUV you been putting in to her. The nose looks great and its nice to see it with out a Front LP. Did you get the GM 3" MAF yet? If not lemme know.
We have a few 3" and 3.5" GM MAFs on the shelf at Brad's shop. Keep the hood and just have it stripped and rejelled, may be paint it to match. Coming back from MB SC she ran alot cooler then Neal's car and that was running an avg 80mph for 6 hours. Keep up the GREAT Work on it.

if you like the autometer gauges then get all autometer gauges, they may not be the best gauges to use but they do work and are more affordable. you can get them really cheap if you look in the right places, and dont worry about what anyone else says get the gauges you like the best, after all its your car!

Well I figured I'd keep everyone a little more updated what's going on with the car for the winter build time.
Tons of parts and brackets got removed, along with egr system, O2's, cruise control, etc.. More parts are going on including a AEM EMS, new gauges, new BOV, custom intake pipe, and a reworked upper fuel system. Slowly got started. ![]() ![]() Oops.... ![]() A little bit later... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Parts still to put on ... muhahaha ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Needs still a bit more TLC and bondo and sanding ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are some pics...

Your car is hot like sauce, not feeling the hood but it's what is underneath that counts

You're engine bay makes me want to smash mine because it's no where near that powerfull... great job man... I would suggest painting the CF hood to match the rest of the car. You'll still have the extra light hood minus the eye sore

I firmly believe without the plastic shroud that goes in front of your radiator, that you decrease the efficiency of cooling your radiator.

Great Job Kris. Good thing you got rid of the plastic shroud and fogs.
This way I can get them, from you for the fair price. I cant wait till I get to drive that car around whenever its done, with your permission of course.
