I'm pretty impressed. Having the deyeme motor mounts helped but I still had some wheel hopping. Now, when I get on first gear WOT the car doesn't wheel hop anymore.

Ingalls stiffy that is Chato, does it do more than just eliminate wheel hop? does it assist in handling or anything?

I haven't notice any handling improvements, but I haven't taken any sharp turns either. I'll test it later.

this kit is tight man, dont know what all these people in here are talkin about, maybe they like having little 1 inch lip kits that still make their car look stock, but for those of us that actually like to put some personality into our rides, looks bangin. Keep at it

No problems at all so far. But I haven't done any fuel upgrades yet. I saw you are planing to go back to stock If so, you are going to have to get a stock fuel pump because the stock ECU won't run right with that Walboro 255 that you have.

How is your car doing with that radiator? I was thinking about getting the CSF one but the one you have is like 100 bucks cheaper. How are your temps?

honestly I dont know my exact temps but be prepared to find a answer for the overheating issues. I would watch getting a 2 row cause i dont think it will fit. Wrap your downpipe before installing the pipe. I think its a must. Everything is to close to the radiator to allow it to do its job. Get some sort of shield to block the turbo and radiator but not a turbo blanket. The turbo blanket will raise your oil temps which isnt good either. your underhood temps are going to be crazy. better look into geting a vented hood and be prepared to run without your AC until you solve the heat issue. I think alot of people who had this kit in the past werent honest enough by telling everyone they will have some heat problems

you already moved your batttery. I suggest moving your horn and alarm horn up on the bumper like i did. Cut away the roof of the bumper some to. It will allow some air to travel easier to the radiator.

The battery is in the trunk. I'm using only one horn for both. I'm going to have to cut some of the front bumper anyways because my intercooler is bigger than the one that used to come with the kit.

Hey Randy, how thick is your radiator? The CSF is 2 1/16" (52mm) thick. I want to make sure if I'm going to have any clearance issues with that or not. I know Kris is using one but his car is super charged.

Also, how is that a turbo blanket will raise my oil tems? I know a lot of guys running with the turbo insulating kits and they aren't having any problems at all. I got this from that link I posted earlier.
TURBO INSULATING KIT

The Turbo Kit was designed to protect, improve performance, and eliminate turbo lag of a turbo charger.

This complete kit, to contain the heat produced by a turbo, fits a wide variety of turbines. The custom cut-to-fit kit comes with an excessive amount of material to cover turbos from the smallest automotive application to heavy-duty truck applications.

Two Turbo Kits are available - a four cylinder kit, and a six and eight cylinder kit. Each kit contains a roll of Exhuast Insulating Wrap 1 or 2 inch, 1 yard of Aluminized Heat Barrier, and a 3" X 6" piece of Exhaust Insulating Wrap. Hardware and instructions are included.
Educate me please.

i think mine is the same as the stock 03 v6 radiators except its all alluminum. The turbo will hold more heat because of the turbo blanket. THe oil will be running thru a hotter area now so it has to raise oil temps. Alot of stock turbo cars use it so maybe it doesnt make that big of difference. I would just much rather use a heat shield then suppress all of the heat inside the turbo with a blanket. I would also think it would lower the life of the turbo. This is just a guess but to me it makes sense

Since your radiator is the same size as the stock ones, how much space if any do you have between the fans and the turbo?

Could you please take a couple of pics of that specific area from the top and the bottom if possible? I'd like to see how the intercooler piping connects to the turbo too. Thanks again for your help Randy. I'll give you some more +Erep.

UPS just dropped this off at my door. I'll install it tomorrow and next week I'll be droping of my car to get the Haltech and the fuel upgrades finally installed.

Well, I finished installing this radiator but the only problem I have ran into is the cap. The stock radiator cap doesn't fit. Hey Randy, I remember that you said that you are using the stock radiator cap IDK. Did you have to modify it or something?

Somehow the stock radiator cap didn't fit at all it was too small. The radiator's web site recommends to get the Stant cap # 10227 so I went to Auto Zone and got the CST radiator cap #7516 which is the same thing. It fit right in.

I finally dropped of my car to get the Haltech E8 EMS and fuel upgrades installed. I can't wait to get it back and finish up installing the turbo kit.

Should I keep the dump tube recirculated or should I leave it open?

well without running a standalone you must recirculate. I would image that now you should leave it open. I cant wait to hear how loud its going to be. When will it all be done?

The next biggest thing I have to buy is the driveshaft shop level 5 racing axles which are going to cost $1500shipped. I'm hoping to get everything done by October.

U think?
Kris is running on the stock axles so far and so have I. No reason to spend 3k unless you know you need them. Plus i would rather my axles break than my tranny. What WHP are you shooting for?

I remember Mike (rulez) broke his axles a couple of times and I think Kris had the same problem too. The axle kit is going to cost $1500 shipped which includes both 750hp axles and 2 hub/wheel bearings with the wheel lugs. It is not bad for what you get. I'm also planning on using slicks because I'm going to need them to hook up at the track. My goals are 400whp+ with the stock heads on pump gas and later on when I built the heads I should be able to hit the 600whp range. The tranny should be good since I already have the LSD, flywheel and racing clutch. I'm trying to do everything right the first time that is why I'm trying to get the axles before the turbo installation.
