Car looks amazing. Love the hatch. I been looking at it for mine for months but books and tuition just kills my money. Ohh well taxes are coming up. Looks nice and clean with it on and everything else looks perfect. You notice any weight difference in the CF hatch??

Thanks for all the love guys!!
I've been building it for right around 2 1/2 years now, and it seems pretty much done, accept for some body work and window tint...but ya never know what may come up in the future!

I'm actually thinking about overlaying the roof in real Carbon Fiber to match the hood/hatch. I saw it done on a galant @ the galant forums and it looks kick ass!

They front and back can go MUCH lower - I have it lowered @ 3/4 of the way down the threads. If i dropped it all the way i could tuck the top of the tires into the wheel wells. The ride is suprisingly not that bad, you feel more bumps but its pretty comfortable!

It was really bad at one point, but i took it off and re-attatched it. It looks fine in person maybe its just different in the pictures?

The hatch is much lighter than the stock one! the glass is what brings the weight back onto the hatch and makes it heavy again, however its still light enough to where if i have my struts installed on the hatch and i hit the hatch release lever on the floor, the hatch will pop open and go all the way up on its own. I have the struts removed because the hatch is still light and the struts push up on it and want to open it.

All I can say is amazing job. I haven't been on the forums in a while, and I was reading through this entire post, and the small things that you modded and posted up with made an awesome car look even better. Great work! Keep it up.

Thanks for all the comments guys I really appreciate it.

I'm getting my new tires put on tomorrow - Falken Azenis RT-615 = )
...After that as soon as the sun is shining comes a nice photoshoot with my pos camera.

The car is finished for a while, I've done everything I wanted to do so far. Its time for some big ticket items - eventually the body will get some work done and a fresh coat of paint, but this entire year is pretty much dedicated to Turbo'ing the car.

I'm most likely going to source most of my parts from the Evo: turbo, o2 housing, downpipe, manifold, intercooler/intake piping, intercooler, bov, oil pan, and the ECU so I can tune it w/ ECUFlash and use the above 100% loads. Stay tuned for more!!

Ever thought about painting the roof black? I think that'd look REALLY good with your hood and trunk, just an idea to throw out there. I love your car man.

I hope you'll love it even more in the summer once the turbo kit is finished!

I'm up in the air right now about it. I'm currently in the middle of turbocharging it, and after that's done I'm gunna finish up some interior work (seats, Harnesses, rear seat delete + roll cage) and bring it to the body shop to get the outside squared away.

I might actually have the roof overlayed in Matching carbon fiber weave just as the trunk and hood is! But that won't happen until summer of 08

Looks like I've got to pull some serious detailing jobs this summer!

Wheels and Tires were $1000
Calipers,Rotors,Pads,Lines,E-brake Assemblies (I had drums) $1800

2800, give or take, I collected parts over the course of a few months so it wasn't too harsh on the bank account.

That would look REALLY good and I'm damn-near positive nobody has done that to a 3g. Good luck on the turbo setup, I hope it works out well for you.

The inspiration actually came from the member Cali from the galant center boards. He did his own roof in CF to accompany his hood and trunk, and it looks badass!

The turbo set-up shouldnt be too difficult, I've done my research and selected my parts carefully, the only thing i need is somebody to set-up the EVO Ecu and tune it for me.

Updates

Took a couple of pics on the way to hot import nights on saturday, the weather was pretty crappy but i think the pics came out awesome, thanks to dennis (eclipsecro) for taking some pretty nice pictures!

As for the car...still pretty much the same as its been, the turbo project is coming along slowly but i expect it to be done relatively soon once school's out.

As always, feedback is appreciated!

I like it a lot. It looks very nice and clean. If you did the two-tone paint scheme for the roof, that would look really nice with the hatch and hood.
