Shocking update. My car was hit yesterday while it was parked in a parking lot away from other cars. I will post pictures once I get it back from the shop. A lady backed into my car and damaged the hood, front bumper, and support frame. I am in the process of working out a deal with the body shop to instal my shine street kit while it is in the shop. I should have my car back in a week and a half if the kit is installed.

I'm just now reading your thread and you have a beautiful car. I'm not a BIG fan of the wheels but they do look good on the 3G. What caught my eyes are the painting of the interior, I really like that. I'm ready and I know your ready to see the car with the SS kit on it. Keep up the good work!

Good looking car. Sorry though, that is a terrible attempt at a blurry background picture. It looks like your car is a toy car
and the focused part doesn't even include the whole car.Keep working on both though.

I got the kit back from the shop today and I thought I could save some money by installing the kit myself but I was actually having a hard time installing it. I am going to let the pros do it, so its back to the body shop. I had the front lip on and it looks great. I'll post pictures once I have the kit installed by the shop.

Nice ride man! The center looks really nice. It's interesting to see the progress of your car throughout this thread- I just now saw this. Can't wait to see some pics with the SS installed. I'm guessing you stuck with the 00-02 front bumper?
Btw, how did you go about painting your valve cover, did you have someone powder coat it? Last edited by SpeedDemon350; 06/30/2009 at 12:22 PM. |

I got my car back from the shop today and I am very disapointed with the body kit install. I am going to post some pictures tomorrow when I get off work. When the shop installed my kit, they used black trimming around the entire body kit and the rear lip is about half an inch to low
. I am going to have the kit molded once my whole car is painted, but I am going to take my car by the shop again and see if he can fix it since I printed pictures of what the kit is supposed to look like. I will just have to add this to a lession learned in my life. The shop charged me around 640 to paint and install the kit and I knew that sounded too good to be ture and as of now it was. I hope the shop can fix this for me soon.

I am nervous about posting these pictures because I know the body kit is not installed correctly. I talked with the body shop and they are on vacation until next week, but the are going to re-work/adjust the kit to fit better.

Thanks. You must prefer the wings west kit? When I saw the shine street kit, I knew it was the kit I wanted. There are a few members that make the wings west kit look so good I kind of wanted to get it, but since I wanted the shine street kit first I kept to my first ideal.

I still really like that dash. Hope the body kit turns out a little better. I do like the SS kit for the 00-02 models a lot, I see what you're saying that you'd rather stick with the 00-02 bumper, I like it a lot. The only thing I could suggest is possibly moving the headunit down where the cubby hole is. This way you won't have to block the air vents, and it's a lot easier to use when it's "at your fingertips." But that all isn't really a big deal, your car is still a 10/10 in my book.

Those SS fender flares have been noted for their crappy fitment by other members. Hopefully they will straighten them out a bit, but dont expect perfection lol.
I like how the car turned out. Looks very nice! One thing I dont like is the black line painted around the seams of the kit. Looks kinda akward and busy

Car is lookin' awesome! Sorry to hear about the bad fitment of the rear lip but hopefully the body shop gets it fixed. That black trim between the body and lipkit is a little...different. Keep up the good work

Its a very clean car! I dont know why they decided that to put the black trim around the kit. It seems like they would have called to talk to you about it first.
Wants you get that fitted right you will have one hell of a 3g. The ss kit looks better on the 00-02, ww kit looks better on 03-05. Only thing I would do now is gets some 235-35's for those 19's. |

Love your car, it looks great. Just get that fitment worked out.
The radio bezel and console looks pretty good to be done with a rattly can. I may have to look into that. Also i would suggest replacing those fog lights, there not supposed to have that orange stuff in them
