First AWD 3rd Gen Eclipse - Page 2

Here are some pictures of my other two projects.
This first one is a 93 Ford Probe With RX-8 Tail lights, this one I did all the body work myself, except for the paint. Headlights are a work in progress.

And Here is my Drift Car in the making 91 Toyota Supra with a 1JZGTE Swap.

Holy shit dude, stick with the mechanical aspects. You seem to have no visual taste. The Supra isn't too bad except the color and the hood, however, that Probe... I don't even know where to start.

hey heys i love the 3g i also have a Mk3 supra like urs also but no 1jz Booo 88 year =\, need a 91Subframe for a 1jz or custom motor mounts.

The engine looks awesome on that Supra. I can't say I'm entirely thrilled about that Ford Probe though. When I saw the rear shot with the RX-8 tail lights, I could have sworn the car was grinning at me or something...

I'd love to see how the AWD improves your track time, cause we all know how turbo + FWD = tirespin, question though on the transmission and rear end, does the front and rear have any sort of limited slip setup as far as side-to-side goes? and you need to crank that boost up now that you have traction and put the car into the 12s!

The Evo runs high 13's low 14's with like 15-18 pounds of boost stock.You don't need allot of boost to get into 12's with AWD.

I'm glad to see that this thread got a warmer reception than I expected. I think the chrome tails match everything else on the car -- black ones wouldn't match anything. I personally hate lots of chrome, but I cant think of anything else that would match.

The mechanics are impressive and the aesthetics -- well that's like any art. It's completely subjective, so don't feel compelled to change anything based on any opinion other than your own.

Nice work on the AWD, but ur def not the first. A guy in Georgia has a 2000 Eclipse and converted to a AWD 3 years back, i checked out his car a couple of times and its nice. But good job.

I have said it before and I will say it again I would like to see proof that someone else has done this first, I have not been able to find anyone else, now I know people have been confused with people doing the Evo engine swap, but using the Eclipse trany.

the eclipse is done well, very well... I love it all, and the silv paint i feel actually flows well with the car. It is clean, nothing crazy, lets the car speak for itself. A lot of respect for a lot of hard work all the way around... One of the best ive seen...

I am still waiting on a full or atleast semi-write up on how to do this. badass setup but, atleast help the community? Alot of us (I included) want to improve our track times, instead of having a full show car like yourself. (no offense)

It will be coming I just haven't had a lot of time lately.

There great when the work. But when I have to prop up the hood on my Maxima since the dampers are blown, I love the good old fashioned one on my Eclipse. It'll always work!

As far as the "EVOLUTION" on the back. I think it is a bit much. Car would look much cleaner without it. Still an awesome car either way.
